...hello this is very interesting philosophy you delivered. thanks for being that director who just remainded me of my true self. I feel anger and get depressed sometimes, I hope I can understand this nature of mine.
So when I try to loose my Ego (both Societal & Person) identities, it doesn't work because THEN THAT becomes an Ego-identity: the answer is to stay quiet and emerge the inward (Soul) -Is that what he's saying
fuck this is exactly what i was thinking, makes so much sense. i tried to kill my ego, but only served to trick it into making me think i was nothing and depress. all is an experience, my mistake served a purpose.
i wonder if we can direct the ego and use it for the right reasons? the ego is very powerful and we cant get rid of it, may as well redirect its energy correctly
This is a great video. Did you know that the mastermind director is the devil? If we have a relationship with God, we will know our true self, in His eyes. Praise God.
@indrabhaskara I know what u mean. i always think how fearless and free children are, like they have no identification with the body-mind yet... then as we grow older, we accumulate so much negativity & conditioning that we forget that we still are that.
i think you need to TRY to understand what he is saying, other wise go find some one else who can help you,, u just proved your self that you need help, by posting that comment,,,
Insecurity(ego) craves attention, in other words, as you grew up you were denied your own existence, thus your accumulation of "ME ME ME ME ME ME, I I I I I I "!!!
But I think that we cannot identify ourselves without society and surroundings. I think ego is the overestimating self importance which will bring dissolving the society. From the other hand what you are speaking is the self-preserving instinct.

@indrabhaskara i know what your saying .. i lost that feeling when i grew up, until recently .. these "out of body experiences" can be achieved through meditation and through lucid dreaming .. this is what the yogics have been doing and is the duty of every soul to discover its true nature through this path

these are my natural expressions, why i need to change. i am not a celebrity or famous guru who needs to smile in public sothat they can have some business out of it.
Promod ji, i saw lot of gurus with smiling face in my life , almost 20 years, but they could give only that how can i keep my smiling face, but my search was not smiling , my search was why all these expressions are made by god?
when all questions are disappered then search is over, thats what matters most. spritualism is an individual phenomena, teachers are just guide. if u think that my lectures are guiding u in some way, for u i am good, if not it doesnt matter what answers i give u for my search.
@atulmeena : Sir, with all due respect, the question I ask is: Talking is fine but is their experience behind your knowledge or is it also obtained from years of hearing and reading the external knowledge? And is spirituality only philosophy or is it more? And if it it is more have you yourself experienced it?
Dear Pramod ji, spritualism is all about experience, it doesnt matter u read any scriuptures or not. once experienced happen all is clear. But knowledge is equally important as ur journey starts from Mind Or Ego level, on that level knowlegde shows u a path, but travel on path has to be done by practitioner.
beacuse i am speaking about very serious subject & if i start smilingwith some efforts, people will get confuse that smiling is the ultimate goal of life, & thats not my purpose of spreading some illusion instead of facts.
what if u got famous in one day & u start getting attention from all over world. offcourse ego will grow, but at same time u r aware that my ego is growing because of attention, its very natural. so as soon as ur awareness expand u will act in public as they want u to act but inside of u because of awareness it will not make solid foundation, sothat if somehow ur ego is shattered u will not craet lot of emotions.
there is more to the ego, there are 3 egos, and this guy covers the self image (ego) but their is also the thoughts (the crazy one) and then their is the true self (good one) .
i should tell you Atul that your insight gave me such a relief over last weekend. i'm now able to lower my suffering that i currently have. i'll continue to play my role in my life but without worrying about consequences ... as in the teachings in Bhagwat Geeta.
I like the metaphors you use. A bunch of battling egos. Yes. The only way Out is In... It's a paradox. Right all my problems begin and end with my ego... All disturbances in my life are my manifestations... The ego is a wild beast that doesn't want me to know my true nature... I totally concur... And I sometimes Blur...
Very good insight. Thanks for sharing. BTW, your language, pace, everything is just appropriate. Let me try to summarize: no effort needed but just understanding the nature of ego is required. You made it simple.
thanks, for sharing your knowledge, you know i have a friend who questions all, well he asks me, like why, do we believe in things, how do you know that about the ego? who told you that? how did you found it?, how can you prove that is truth.
i know that the mind is limited and that doesn't let him understand, or simply " his ego"
but i don't know, after him questioning me all what i do, why do, makes me wonder about everything i see and learn.
Thanks. You are "immensely" talented. 3 suggestions for your success (give or take): 1. Polish your English skills. Drop that Indian accent. 2. Dress properly in suit. Wear a tie. 3. Spend some money and get a quality video camera. {Believe me, the only difference between you and other giants like Shiv Khera etc. are the above 3 points}
Stay Humble? What about what your thinking? Jesus, go study psychology or something if you want help. And fuck you Indian. If you dress well, doesn't mean you want attention. There is a real world, practical benefit to looking good. And whats wrong with attention? You are a douch.
@GloriousReturns And you are still avoiding answering the question? I wander why that is... Maybe because you take it for granted, like everything else in your life. I will ask again, and if you have no answer, don't comment.
Why is attention bad for you.
Really simple question, so please. And I will start by making the conversation civil and say sorry for calling you a douche.
@HitomiAyumu Attention builds the ego and ego is a source of weakness. It creates unrealistic expectations. Ego leads to overconfidence, leads to disrespect of your opponents, leads to defeat. Ego leads to making enemies (people cannot stand other egotistical people) and you can't even properly combat those enemies because you imagine that you are better than they are.
Look at Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland, Michael Jackson, Adolf Hitler, Nero, etc. How much good did attention do them?
@GloriousReturns It builds ego if you get too much. There is a fallacy in what you say when you consider the fact that maybe, if someone has worked hard at something and is liked for it. They actually deserve this attention. I think what you are talking about is that "attention seeking" attitude. Attention is also an indicator of how well you are doing something. Whats the point of a career if no one is going to be there to affirm your hard work...? It makes you depressed.
@HitomiAyumu It is not a question of what you deserve. Judy Garland was a great actress and singer. So she deserved the attention she got. She, like Michael and Marilyn, tried to use it to compensate for the sorrow in her life. How did that work out? She ended up overdosing and killing herself, also like Michael and Marilyn.
The point is that anything that builds the ego can only hurt you in the end.
I would say that people like Michael Jackson only ended up that way because they lacked purpose. I will clarify what I mean by attention.
Attention: a general interest that leads people to want to know more; "She was the center of attention".
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this? People do it quite automatically. There is only something wrong if you use this type of attention to carve your WHOLE sense of self. Or a great portion of it. A balance thing.
@HitomiAyumu "Whats the point of a career if no one is going to be there to affirm your hard work...It makes you depressed.?"
Lots of things. If you get rich, you can live in a nice house, eat fine meals, take trips, and many other things, even at a very trivial level. Why do you need cheerleaders following you around saying how well you did? And you are right, it does make you depressed if you want it and don't get it. Attention is like an addictive drug.
@GloriousReturns Fine dining means crap all if there is no growth. Growth gives us purpose. If we strive to make a secure life with lots of money, its out of a need to feel safe. This is my first contention.
If you feel safe and all, how then do you strive for purpose. You could work hard and collect fine arts and ornaments and so on. And this leads to my second contention. Whats the point of collecting fine arts of there is no one to show it too? If there is no one share your joy with...?
So what is your contention? Also, I only left a comment in the first place because its kind of Ironic that this guy says "attention is bad". Attention is precisely what hes looking for by posting a video of him talking to a camera on youtube, where the whole world will see him and say "yes I agree wise man on the internet."
@HitomiAyumu "...whole world will see him and say "yes I agree wise man on the internet."" Lots of people do that. Maybe he is, maybe not, I have no way to know.
Do my ideas on ego hold water" I can't prove it. I could be wrong. This is what my life experiences have led me to believe. If your life experiences have done otherwise, then do that. However, I think that ego is the most dangerous drug known to man, because it is the only one of which the addict has an infinite supply.
'If you would have paid attention, you would have noticed that he said that pride leads to pain and suffering because it is merely a shell of our true selves, a facade. We are hurt when the facade is broken and seen through. However, this pride is not our who we are sop if we acknowledge this, we will be less likely to be hurt when people remark negatively about mundane things.
The reasons for wanting to get attention are different. i don't think he was posting the video to get attention and bloat his ego. This seems to be a reflection of the of your thoughts, shallow and condescending. The purpose of posting this on the internet was most likely to reach more people than he would normally be able to. You are missing the whole point of his lecture.
@xPrisonOfTheMindx Oh well maybe. But you have no way of telling. And an "attention seeker'' is often a child. As we age, we find other "attention seeking" ways. Ones that are more subtle and less annoying.
Sorry about all the replies. There is one last thing. You say "The point is that anything that builds the ego can only hurt you in the end." My definition of ego is a sense of self pride? If you are agree with this definition, I would then ask, what is wrong with pride? Its a state ALL of us feel. Its just, once again, people become disingenuous and get carried away. This "too much" business is probably the only grounds I can agree with you on.
@GloriousReturns So to sum up what I have just said. Attention is only bad if you get it without deserving it. If you are lazy and expect people to praise you. Seeking affirmation is a natural condition, and we all do it in one way or another. We are both doing it now by sharing our opinions. Its unhealthy if the attention is your only source of self worth.
The problem ,, is that The People that NEED to watch this kind of stuff,,, are the LAST to watch it! Like the Morons killing innocent people in Iraq! If Americans get any more Numb,,, they'll be Dead! And we're next to be murdered by our own Country!
you might wanna step up your ego bro... lame haircut, overweight and poor dress choice. Acceptance is okay to want... just like anything keep it in moderation.
just cos he doesnt gain your lame acceptance doesnt mean others wont accept him, acceptance means differant things to differant ppl so how about you accept that dipfuk.
Great Series. The only prescription to truly melting the ego is to stay HUMBLE AT ALL TIMES! study the concept of staying humble and in-order to really do so you must constantly observe yourself it requires constant application, devotion, meditation and will power but once attained rest assured.....you will become all- powerful all-wise.

Nice fault finding.

Once again, sorry.

@HitomiAyumu In the end man, all I can say is, if you think that's true, by all means, carry on.

The problem ,, is that The People that NEED to watch this kind of stuff,,, are the LAST to watch it! Like the Morons killing innocent people in Iraq! If Americans get any more Numb,,, they'll be Dead! And we're next to be murdered by our own Country!
