Just installed a 9.04, then went to synaptic and uninstalled 420mb of unneeded crap. Probably would have been more if it weren't for some weird dependencies such as the avahi package depending on a perl module and other crap like that.
your a fucken noob thats all. with 3g... why the fuck would you want to pay up the ass to make calls on your carriers network why not save a bundle and have UNLIMITED calls with voip...
yeah unlimited paying much more money than a gsm voice call... this is not canada, internet here is for everybody not for rich people only so we need to pay much more becasue 98% of spain is connected and..voip is only free voip 2 voip... i use voip with wifi but nobody uses it...
looks cool, and once all the ui problems are solved it will work good too, i think it would be be expensive though, looks a bit like the vaio UX from a few years ago
So I whistled to a cab and when it came near the license plate said "fresh" and had dice in the mirror, If anything I'd say this cab was rare, but no you home's to bel-air!
Holy hell I want a ubuntu mobile. The only thing I don't like about ubuntu is you cant set the run level at boot time, so I can't start in run level 3.
The OEM is 'Compal MID' - for GigaByte in Taiwan. Ubuntu is the OS running I'm thinking its Ubuntu Mobile Internet Device Edition running. BUT official announcement for Ubuntu MID coming to ARM Cortex A8/A9 cpu's to debut this July 2009 - that means Nokia's N810 Successor will support this OS; YES!

I agree. I wonder where you can buy it from. Ubuntu is a great OS. I'd love to get something like this and be able to sync it with my computer without having to worry about things like interoperability between Linux & Windows.
What ever happened to this? What I would give (pay) for a polished Ubuntu mobile handset.... PLEASE Canonical - make a Ubuntu mobile!!!
