Just installed a 9.04, then went to synaptic and uninstalled 420mb of unneeded crap. Probably would have been more if it weren't for some weird dependencies such as the avahi package depending on a perl module and other crap like that.

I agree. I wonder where you can buy it from. Ubuntu is a great OS. I'd love to get something like this and be able to sync it with my computer without having to worry about things like interoperability between Linux & Windows.
