  • I have been a Vegan for a little over a month part for my love of animals part cause i'm a big fatty your recipes are awesome and will help me to stay the fattest Vegan on earth.

  • couldn't you just use mint extract instead of mint leaves? I love your vids btw. You are awesome!

  • NO MEAT?! WHAT YOU MEAN HE NO EAT NO MEAT?!?!?!

  • I would add some baked/fried potatoes too. Looks great!

  • oh and maybe you could use your nut milk bag as cheesecloth to drain the cucumber?

  • i love how u say the greek words just right ;)

  • MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING! Yay I'm glad we like the same romantic comedies! Ur awesome!

  • can i just ask why you choose to be vegan? i want to but i prefer meat...

  • Hmm...You know, salting the cucumbers works well, since the salt draws all the water out. Just don't salt the end product, if you're going to do it this way.

My mom is Lebanese and that's what she does when she makes tzaziki sauce

  • looks delish - i think this would even be good w just the raw veggies and avocado in place of the onion & bean mix - but nonetheless - YUMM!

  • You are...AMAZING. Love your recipes.

  • I don't think non-vegetarians will ever understand how good this looks. *drool*

  • Yummy :D Do you know if any of the members of MCS are vegetarian?

  • I would definitely eat this! I just need a wee but of cheese!

  • WILL YOU MARRY ME, PLEASE?

  • I had the amazing opportunity to live in Athens for a year and I recommend using plain Greek yogurt instead of soy(Thats my only vegan exception) and 2-5 cloves of crushed garlic (depending on how garlic-ey you want it) to the tatziki. For the gyro I recommend adding some falafel or raw tofu as a meat substitute.

  • I am greek and Ive never seen this before. I really like the filling instead of meat! thank you!!

  • Good choice to use Motion City in this video :p

  • Look at the way she's holding the Cucumber.. <3

  • that would be great with portobellos!

  • Hint,,, the Tzaiki sauce you got it backwards, DRAIN your yogurt in the fridge in cheese cloth until it is thick like Greek Yogurt. TWO, shred your cucumber in a bowl and add all the cucumber juice! ALSO, if you are declaring this Greek, use Greek herbs or at least otherwise don't declare this a Gyro.

  • This looks so good, can't wait to try it :)

  • i'm greek...and vegetarian....

    pythagoras was too a vegetarian...

  • This looks great! :) I am 100% Greek and enjoyed your recipe 100% as well. :P I loved the way you said tzatziki by the way! :P

  • Looks great!! But I think i'll substitute the mint for some fresh dill...yumm!

  • If only you knew how fake all those brightly colored groceries are...

  • can you use another kind of beans i dont like kidney beans :)

and im a vegan too !

  • I tried this recipe, it was really wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

  • ..."Hero?"

  • That reference at the beginning made me laugh. Maybe a little too much xD

  • This is NOT a gyro , gyro is meat..

  • orea - tora kali oreksi ) ) ... gia su ...

  • I´m noticing you kinda have my taste of music XD mcs rocks :D

  • looks very good, but i missed the tofu

  • Well.. yeah... dont want to be hater or something but here is the thing:

Gyro=Round in Greek , *Gyros* defines a way of round baking meat (over fire NOT in oven) -imagine a GIANT soulvaki rollin over fire- u can make one from NOT only pork but from chicken/lamp too. Lots of foreigners confuse the above with the look a *pita* gaves when its wrapped around smth.Just saying this cause some things are made to be the way they should. You made a nice TzaTziki*Jageekee*-sauce sandwich but it aint gyros

  • I love your vids!! they are delightful like Care Bears

  • hmm im a vegetarian i should try this. but i dont know if the supermarket i go has that yogurt =/. btw whats ur reason for being vegan?im sorry im new to ur channel =]

  • @thunderheart226 Hey there, I'm vegan for lots of different reasons, the main three are: it's a more environmentally sustainable diet, it's better for me (if I don't bake cupcakes too often...), and it's kinder to animals. Probably some of the same reasons you're a vegetarian!

  • @TheTofuGuru i have one thing against being vegan or vegeterian, mainly because your're not exactly saving animals because at the supermarket im guessing they just throw away their leftover meat which means the animal died for nothing )=

  • @versatilechicken The law of supply & demand is in effect for all purchases. Or do you think this law applies to every single purchase in the world except meat? If meat doesn't get purchased that is lost revenue. Brittney buys vegan, that increases that companies revenue. Those companies would cease to exist if likeminded people didn't buy their products. It is economics, it works for every $ purchase in the world. Thinking the choices she makes doesn't matter is small minded. Money talks.

  • Me and my best friend just followed your recipe and made this...it was so good!!

minus the fact that we added a bit to much sour cream to the sauce!!

Next were going to try making the quesadilla's!!

  • @Emsters326 Hey awesome! let me know how they work out. :)

  • Haha, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, eh? :3

  • I loved this! :D Ive always loved My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Im going to force my boyfriend to watch it with me. >:D

  • A gyro isnt a gyro without Lamb

  • Good job on the tzatziki, but the other ingredients are pretty wrong...

If you want to demonstrate a greek gyros... You must show the basic one which is vegetarian free... What strikes me the most though is the pepper and Beans...! We REALLY don't use these in our gyros!

  • Ok... Greek here...

Think of the name really... Gyros means something that turns and it's refering to the meat (if you see it, it is actually a huge lump of clean meat turning vertically near an open heat source thus cooking it evenly). The original (as original as it gets) has meat (usually pork but you can go with everything), tomato (no tomato!?), onion and MAYBE some fried potatoes... And of course, tzatziki...

  • girl, that is one funky gyro. <3

  • That looks really good. Think I'll try this one out soon.

  • My big fat greek wedding (or my big fat greek summer, which I haven't seen yet) of course!

Now that I am your new favorite person, do I get a present or something? :D

Grating cucumbers makes your hands smooth like baby skin.

  • @Porzellanente Yep, you win a virtual high-five for your knowledge of epic romantic comedies! ;)

  • Thanks for the explanation, but there were never ANY doubts as to your dorky-ness. *Ahem* We love you B! :D

  • it looks really delicious!
