@Ethan12216 As much as I love the yogscast I have to agree that at least Lewis is a noob. A lot of the changes he mentions in the unholy tree have been there since 3.3.5 pre-talent changes. Like the GCD reduction from unholy presence, Unholy Blight preventing disease dispelling and a bunch of other things that just made me, a frost DK, cringe.

dark transformation is alot more important in the rotation then u guys might think, ur gonna wanna cast that every time you can, its a big dmg increase, and ur gonna want to have unholy presence up for single target dps, and frost presence up for AoE dps

Ok, I understand this is kind of old, and that a lot of this is in live right now, but seriously READ THE DESCRIPTION OF THE TALENTS!! Yes unholy presence is the best 2H dps presence currently (Honestly I don't understand your reasoning on why it wouldn't be) but if you read the text on SD you'll see that it's based on auto attack. If you're doing more auto attacks you'll get off more DC's and DC is the top dps spell right now. And you do want reduced blood tap CD, and scarlet fever isn't shit..

ok Unholy DK was meant for PVP only and Frost is now meant for PVE cause u see everytime u place against another DK that is frost and ur unholy u win because all the stuff that the Unholy can give u than the Frost can like u have a big bubble nerfs the crap out of frost dps and then u got ur immune magic bubble frost will be useless for away plus u got pets so if u want to pve us Frost wnat to pvp use unholy but if ur really good then u can do both :) am not so i use unholy

depens on you mastery rating i guess.. and frost fever is still buggy, it only critts for additional 50% dam. When this gets fixed, the dps gain from glyph of it will also increase.. fevers just skale so much better with gear then deathcoil, now that they fully benefit from haste/critt

UH looks to still be primarily a pvp spec. I personally never liked it. I only went as far as unholy blight and pet, and kept the rest to frost strike. I seem to own most UH DK's I come across, but still can't kill a tree. lol

I will miss HB heroic tanking big time, and my guildies are gonna go nuts with the BB graphic if it's still terrible.

I have to disagree with the Talent Point distribution you are doing. Putting a Point in Unholy Command is utterly worthless. You rather want to put it in Desecration. There are several reasons for this. 1 would be Mages doing more damage to snared targets. 2 would be slowing down mobs. (Example, Lich King Valkyrs) Also 1 point in AMS is a virtual DPS increase since AMS doesn't give RP unless you spec into it. And a reduced cooldown on Blood Tap could give another Scourge Strike. That's all ^^

the changes to Death and Decay are most interesting, seeing as blood boil replaces it for tanking. It only costs one unholy rune as well, so it will be fascinating to see if a DPS death knight can work it into their rotation without taking the aggro off the tank.

The endless winter talent isn't necessarily for PvP - its great in raids because it gives you a free interrupt, instead of costing dps resources or global cooldowns. Also, you might wanna check the Anti-magic shell and zone talents, because I have a feeling they will save our skins in heroics or raids quite often. I always picked up utility talents like this even in WotLK at the expense of .. what, 5% dps loss?

dun dump all yr RP to zero all the time. RP management is now a vital aspect of UH dk play due to the interaction between DC and DT.DT is a significant dps increase and shud be kept up as much as possible. this means keeping rp as close to max as much as possible and casting DC only when you're about to hit cap or have sudden doom procs. when DT falls off u spam 5 death coils asap so u can quickly recast DT. balancing the uptime of runic corruption and DT will separate the pros from noobs

With the tonnes of spell damage going around in dungeons you definitely want one point in magic suppression at least (it gives you a massive amount of RP, which if you are in unholy presence you can dump incredibly quickly) I'd also say 30s off blood tap gives you more flexibility overall, especially for getting off an emergency strangulate to interrupt a boss when all your runes are on CD. I ended up as 7/0/34 and am very, very happy :D

Cooldown of blood tap - Not shit. One extra scourge strike every 30 seconds (opposed to every minute). Better than anything else you can get.

And then ofcourse, Magic Suppression for the RP when you stand in the fire. But yeah, PVE unholy is starved for good choices at the beginning of all three trees.

In your rotation you can also use HoW for more RP, you can put the extra last couple points in improved in you Runic Power Mastery since going to 130 runic power you can set off loads of Death coils to cover your CD's :3 Awesome video though. As always ;D

It seems pretty obvious to me that this is a clear cut PvP tree. Blood pure tanking, Frost pure pve dps, unholy pure pvp. While you are able to use all specs for leveling at the same time. This is how its been for Warriors for a long time and it seems Blizzard has had the same idea for the new DK's. Maybe unholy will accidentally become a viable raid spec for a 25 man just like Arms did in Wotlk but I doubt it.

UH is doing good dps in beta/ptr atm. its also feels the most completed amongst the 3 trees when u actually play them. have u even seen the trees ? lichborne, on a pale horse, pillar of frost and hungering cold are in the frost tree with obvious pvp uses. while in unholy there's resilient infection which can easily be picked up as an offspec.

They are making unholy into something it should be, imo.

I'm actually pretty happy with the layout atm, taking the points from butchery and slapping them in on a pale horse, miniscule dps increase vs faster flying. especially while lvl'ing the flying wins hands down.

And i certainly wouldn't rule us out of the pvp scene the dispelled disease to free rune coupled with unholy presence which is deceptively powerful in pvp now more so in cata...things are looking good.

You should read the talents in normal wow tbh, Unholy blight does the exact same in current patch.. Not much have changed on death knights... And unholy presence does shit more dps when you still got low gear, even tho for unholy ill recommend frost presence since your dps is mainly about diseases :) - Still nice video tho

if you do spec into lichborne you can heal yourself with death coils. i used this in the PTR on my ghoul seeing as i could not spec into it, but it still healed the ghoul for 15k+ ( critting around 30k). also it might be better to spec into desecration instead of the death grip reduced CD for pve mainly because you'd want that slow for certain fights as in LK fight with the val'kyrs or in Deathbringer Saurfang and the blood beasts.
