If I had to guess, wood began to provide more cover than cities because it's harder to find your target in wood (and thus more difficult to hit due to not knowing where it is) even though hiding behind a concrete wall stops bullets better than hiding behind a tree.

Oh. Have you ever had an instance where the battleship Adder builds on the first turn doesn't move and just blocks the gate? I just had that happen, and I'm finding it hilarious. Man, he's about as dumb as Flak. *shot*

Dark Conflict (Days of Ruin where I am) was actually the first AW game I ever played. I'm stuck on Hope Rising. Save's been like that since 25/04/10.

The trees started to provide better cover than buildings when the buildings were reduced to smouldering rubble by the meteors. =P

Someone already tried to use that as a justification, so I will reiterate the answer I gave them. The buildings destroyed by the meteorites became the 'Ruin' terrain, whereas the 'City' terrain represents fully standing buildings. So how a forest is suddenly better cover than a fully standing city building is just daft.

trees can deflect tank and bullet shells, and maybe it just so happens that in dc the forests are densely populated... with trees

Trees will not stop bullets/shells as well as a concrete wall will.

I assume the trees provided better cover after all the buildings fell from the metorites...and the trees survived...somehow

Except that buildings destroyed by the meteorites became the 'Ruin' terrain, which grants one star defence. How trees suddenly became better cover than fully standing city buildings remains a mystery.

you should use more ATPs, you can grab the front base fast and get a s rank like that with kanbei destroying the target
