  • Possitive and negative reinforcement is not necessarily pleasant or unpleasant...

    Example of positive reinforcement (addition of a stimulus to increase a response): rewarding your child for passing a test

    Example of negative reinforcement (removal of a negative stimulus following a response): My mom keeps nagging me to wash the dishes; after a while, I finally wash them and the nagging stops.
