actually i would expect these guys cars to do Way better than these runs. doesnt the boss 302 already pull mid to low 12's stock. and the gt high 12's stock?! so what on earth is hindering the performance. (obviously the drivers themselves are pretty chunky. probably dumping another 270+ lbs in the cars) .. seems the notes say there times dropped to 12.1's but still... that alota mods to still be in the 12's, those cars need weight reduction big time. bring on the all new 2014 mustangs.
@xevious2501 Atmospherics make a big difference. We don't know where they are, what the air pressure is, how high the humidity is, etc. A stock GT runs 12.9 on a perfect run. Mine ran 13.1 @ 110mph when I ran (and I'm the definition of amateur). When I corrected for atmospherics, i.e. took it from the levels in Austin down to sea level, my time corrected to 12.8. The GT here only has a handful of mods -- to take a half second or more off the 1/4 time is impressive.
Unfortunately newer mustangs are bulkier, but so is every other muslce car. They have so many air bags to cram in there along with suspension components that everything about them needs to be bigger.

actually, an Automatic is faster with a Dragrace. No shifting time or clutch release that might going to ruin the final time. a small or big block Mustang with a 302 or 428SCJ with Drag Pak with a C6 was a true Murder back in the day.

@sportsstuff87 Actually the 392 Hemi starts at 45. The 392 also provides greater torque, horsepower, and displacement, than the mustang. Having a lot of torque will diminish the fact that the challenger is slightly heavier.a higher displacement engine will also allow for a higher power potential output given the same mods given to a mustang. When you spend a little more on the Challenger you are getting exclusivity. Meaning not everyone and their grandmother doesn't drive.To me, it's worth it.

@GTnumber1 not in my area. (2010- and up) mustangs are a rare sight. ur lucky to see one every 2 weeks. I see 5 Camaros a day. and even classic mustangs are more common than the new ones. my neighbor to the left has a 1967 fastback and my neighbor to my right has a 1970 mach 1 351 cubic in.
Seeing as how Ford only kept the 2010 mustang bodystyle for 3 years, I imagine the 2010-2012 mustangs are gonna be worth a shitload when they become classics.

Do a search in youtube, 2012 Boss 302 vs 2011 Mustang GT. The 21 second video underneath the AM video is one we recorded earlier this year. He has since run much faster than this in the Boss. This was the same day i got my 12.006, my buddy just so happened to not be recording that at the moment lol. I do thank Bama for my tunes :) !
At the time of this video, with mods out there, both of these cars were slow... The fastest STOCK BOSS 302 in the country is driven by my buddy Marco. He has been featured in 5.0 magazine, and others. He has gone 11.58 on nothing but a drop in K&N filter, Race Gas, and dr's on light weight rims. My own 2011 Manual GT has seen a best of 12.006, and i run 12.1 or faster all the time. My bad driving skills is what is preventing me from my high 11's...
Seeing A lot of retarded comments about the auto...this new 6R is far superior to the MT-82...If you haven't driven one you have no Idea and you are IGNORANT. The 6R is standing up to WAY more power than the MT-82 manual(a lot of people have been breaking them), it shifts faster than A human can, it doesn't miss or screw up shifts and with A tune it hits the gears just as hard as the stick. I have the auto in my '11 5.0. I wouldn't have it any other way.I do wish it had selectshift like the'13s

@MangoSmoothie16 0-60 aint a big deal, it's how you take a corner that makes you feel the best. Downshift and take that 50 degree corner and you'll feel the Boss and it's ability.

having these cars modded like that and still running mid to high 12s isnt that good, i went to the track 3 days ago and there was a bone stock 2011 gt on its street tires (completely stock 100%) running 12.2 consistantly and his worst run was a 12.4, so idk what you guys need to do but those cars should be in the mid to low 11's at least lol

Maybe you were looking at our Race Red V6 in the pits, but the 2012 Competition Orange Boss in the race is stock appearance. @Pooz30 The fastest stock Boss I could find was 12.79 @ 108mph, we're hitting 12.40 @ 117.5mph with essentially a CAI, 93 Tune, Long Tube Headers and tires. Also, keep in mind that 12.79 was with a pre-production track key. A stock Boss without the track key is probably a tenth or two slower.
well if you search 2012 BOSS the second or 3rd video from TTindall85 is a stock BOSS with the window sticker still on the car and he runs 12.36 @ 116 and a few videos down you will see the same car running 12.36 and this was one of the first videos of a BOSS posted by an owner. Look at the dates they were posted.

Do a search in youtube, 2012 Boss 302 vs 2011 Mustang GT. The 21 second video underneath the AM video is one we recorded earlier this year. He has since run much faster than this in the Boss. This was the same day i got my 12.006, my buddy just so happened to not be recording that at the moment lol. I do thank Bama for my tunes :) !

At the time of this video, with mods out there, both of these cars were slow... The fastest STOCK BOSS 302 in the country is driven by my buddy Marco. He has been featured in 5.0 magazine, and others. He has gone 11.58 on nothing but a drop in K&N filter, Race Gas, and dr's on light weight rims. My own 2011 Manual GT has seen a best of 12.006, and i run 12.1 or faster all the time. My bad driving skills is what is preventing me from my high 11's...

Seeing A lot of retarded comments about the auto...this new 6R is far superior to the MT-82...If you haven't driven one you have no Idea and you are IGNORANT. The 6R is standing up to WAY more power than the MT-82 manual(a lot of people have been breaking them), it shifts faster than A human can, it doesn't miss or screw up shifts and with A tune it hits the gears just as hard as the stick. I have the auto in my '11 5.0. I wouldn't have it any other way.I do wish it had selectshift like the'13s

having these cars modded like that and still running mid to high 12s isnt that good, i went to the track 3 days ago and there was a bone stock 2011 gt on its street tires (completely stock 100%) running 12.2 consistantly and his worst run was a 12.4, so idk what you guys need to do but those cars should be in the mid to low 11's at least lol

A stock BOSS should run those times... so now it's no faster and lost it's prestige by adding side vents and everything else that's done to it. This car will not be worth anything at Barret Jackson in50 years.

@Pooz30 The Boss is completely stock appearance-wise. There aren't any side-scoops or vents, so I don't know what you mean? Maybe you were looking at our Race Red V6 in the pits, but the 2012 Competition Orange Boss in the race is stock appearance. Also, we didn't buy the car to be worth $ @ Barrett Jackson in 50 years (what they said about 01 Bullitts, which u can buy for less than $5k now). We bought it to build & race like it was produced to! See our 2012 Boss vs. Camaro road course video..

@Pooz30 The fastest stock Boss I could find was 12.79 @ 108mph, we're hitting 12.40 @ 117.5mph with essentially a CAI, 93 Tune, Long Tube Headers and tires. Also, keep in mind that 12.79 was with a pre-production track key. A stock Boss without the track key is probably a tenth or two slower.

Look at the dates they were posted.
