  • my bad that song was by the main ingredient. sorry.

  • You got my vote for unsung! I remember the female vocals from when I was about 6 yrs old. I never knew this was new birth. They became one of my fav groups of the seventies when I was a teenager. Hey everybody check out their cut called "walk along the euphrates". A song about africa and the begining of mankind. They really kicked the funk! Best wishes to any group members still living.

  • I love this song! This group needs an episode of UNSUNG!!! Let's get that petition everyone!!! Let's flood TVONE'S website!

  • this is one of my fav. Newbirth song.. always wondered whats her name who's singing.. her voice is amazing.. duz anyone know?

  • It's an Armando Manzanero's song. So beautiful any version

  • It's impossible to find another group to sing like this. BEAUTIFUL

  • its impossible to reason with fools

  • If you have Sure Thing by New Birth would you please post.

  • Whats funny is that this group is from my city of Louisville. This city makes some really good music, it just can't get the mainstream push it needs to really be on the map. The clubs here go crazy to local music.

  • @MissPri317 you know it, straight out of the Derby City.:))

  • my mother used to absolutely love this song...

  • What is really genius is the fact that this song is a remake of an old Perry Como song and the band & the late, great Harvey Fuqua made this song popular all over again in the 70s. I had no idea growing up this was a remake. That there is the real genius!

  • old school,,, great.....

  • Old School Versions always have more depth.Remember that!♥ ♪♫•*¨*•. (◡‿◡✿) ♥~

  • Classic in my mind for some reason in the shower tonight.

  • Michael Jackson and his brothers should of did a cover of this when he was little.

  • i love this song. this version is the best.

  • Kanye West brought me here. The man is a genius.

  • My mama used to play this song when I was a little boy I liked this because my mama liked it and now see why it;s such a beautiful song timeless

  • AY KANYE!!!! its good to know that a pop musician listens to great music like this!

  • Dagg their's that voice.....All she would have to do is say "hello' and I'll marry her!

  • This is beautiful. So glad I got to see these folks perform in the late 90s'. I missed this stuff during their hay-day cause I wasn't born until 73. But I had sisters who went to shows and I always envied them for it. Wish I was born b4 73.

  • What a beautiful rendition. How I wish we have more of this kind of music nowadays.

  • its somewhat ironic...the Perry Como version (which is the original version) peaked at Number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 in January of 1971, and this version peaked at Number 52 on the Billboard Hot 100 in November of 1971, and they were both recorded on the same label, RCA Victor-

  • @christheone8773 Good point, and this interpretation of the song is absolutely genius. To take a standard and stylize it like this is amazing. They really made this song their own.

  • great group!

  • Music this good should still be heard and I'm glad we have it here.

  • this hot summer nights sexy thank never heard of this song

  • They wore this STANDARD out! Love it! Beautiful!

  • Fine a** Londee WIginns and man can she Sing!!!!

  • OMG! found It New Birth, "Until It's time for you to go".

  • Does anyone remember a female singing a solo version of this song around the same time in 1971. She jammed on it singing extremely high notes and I remember a dramatic ending. It was more soulful then this version but had simarlites in the background music. I would really like to hear it today.

  • @TheMidcoast1 you may be thinking about Miss Minnie Ripperton.

  • @repentantpeople Thank You...I found it.. It was "Until its time for you to go" by New Birth. Hav a good one!

  • Guy in the very front on this album cover looks like bassist Robin Duhe who also plays bass with Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly

  • Man I wish we had this kind of talent today. The stuff out today just dont move like these old Gems.
