Is there something safe and healthy that you can put on the dog to stop the snoring if it's that bad - obviously I mean something vet approved? The pug is adorable but as many people have said it really is a common problem that the snoring/grunting and noise making can be a bit much for some people. They really should make something to help with that..

When we got my Pug Peggy we had to get earplugs at first. Now if she even stops snoring for a second to roll over I was up instantly. Can't sleep with out it haha

@rodekill72 u may wanna trade ur pug but when they snore and do bad things its are falf fo not teachin them and no matter what u still love u pug they are great i mean if she or he bothers u just put him in a diffrent room we put our in a cage at night and when he is bad

Theres nothing really wrong with your babay! I am in the SAME situation, my 10 yar old snores like CRAZAY, I am on ear plugs too...as sleepless as my nights may be, I just can;t kick him off the bed. I actually put a fan next to the bed on low, it has helped some, I dont know if he is breathing better or the noise is drowning him out! lol...good luck!

Pugs who snore may need elongated soft palette surgery to prevent congestive heart failure at an early age. By the way, AKC show dogs and their direct descendants don't snore. If your prospective breeder claims show blood ask to see her ribbons - otherwise you can't trust her.

He's a 13 year old pug and snores louder than ever, but even though he does not let us sleep, we love him with all our heart. We cannot imagine our lives without our little fat "GranPa". Thanks for letting us know about the breeders. Next pug we get, we will make sure we do our research :)
