  • Naseem Begum is a diamond among gems. She is the legendry singer from the golden days of Lollywood. Lahori Munda From New York.

  • very beautiful, unforgatable, n sweet, voice of naseem ji......un ki zindagi cchoti thi warna wo bohat se aur nayaab geet deten hamen........

  • what a beautiful song.

    No comparison even.

indian version can not even touch the true emotions.

    Nasim Begum what a singer.!

  • jo aesi movies aur songs ko dislike kerte hain mere kheyal mein un ke seeney mein DIL (heart) Naam ki koi cheez hai hi nei.

  • love the number

  • I had seen this movie when I was in fourth grade, the memory of this movie is still remain in my mind and soul. In 60s Pakistani were able to produce classic movies but they spoiled themselves in religious madness. However copying this song is shamful job done by bollywood. mahfooz

  • this naseem begums song is the original sung with feelings. latas song is

sung at 100 miles an hour with no feelings as if she wants to finish the song

and go to another recording. look how naseem begum sings it calmly slolwly

with a beautiful voice. i like lata very much but she spoils a song when she copies pakistani songs like she spoiled maen jis din bhula doon sung much

    better by mehnaz

  • original is original yaar

  • Original is original yaar

  • wah..........kya baat

  • @mir963 God man, there was something so special in the old time beauties. I am so bored of all the current plastic beauties with expressionless wooden face scared of messing up their makeup if they smile or cry. Look at Nayyar Sultana. I need to see a psychiatrist. I cant get her out of my head.

  • this brings tears into my eyes...

its soo sad.. sacrifices are never ever easy..

  • nice song ....

  • Excellent music. There is so much in common between the two countries. I wish the partition had never happened ! Thanks Mir for uploading.

  • @rsdheeraj :))

  • this song shows cultural similarity between India and pakistan

taste are same, values are same, and i should add that political considerations in our leaders are also same

  • I wonder if she was singing for him or her

    My guess is him

  • Reminds me of f my girlfriend She use tell me she will never forget me. It's true she hasn't. But it's too late I am happily married.

  • Its soooooo niceeeeeee soooonnnngggggggg!!!!!!!

  • The standards of music, acting and direction were very high in the old Pakistani cinema. The Pakistani films of those days were comparable to the Indian films of those days. In the mid 70's , the film producers destroyed the Pakistani film industry by producing nude and obscene movies.

  • I forgot all else but your love.

  • I was only 7 when i watched this film. My dad used to sing this song sometimes :)

  • nice song..

  • Pakistan produced one of the world class film industry. I am so hopeful for is to revive once again and shine the horizon of Pakistan's silver screen magic of all times.

  • @CowEaterindicka

    Inshalla, one day, we will.

  • I love this 1960 song. Best song of Naseem begum. Movie is also memorable.

  • very nice song

  • what a song i love that song

  • one of the most famous tunes of pak film era....old is gold.....

  • this song has also bn sung y lata mangeshkar on same tune in some hindi movie. but i like this version sung y naseem begum n is my favourite song. a memorable composition y music director A HAMEED.

  • thank you very for uploading these wonderful songs!

  • Thank you very MUCH for uploading these songs lol now mom won't get off on YoutTube. LOL

  • Great reflection of old time Pakistani film industry!

  • Oh its such a nice .. i always thought .. its a indian song .. but anyway song is really nice ... and soothing touch :)

  • nyc wordin old is gold

  • mir sahib , it is a deadly song bas qatl. i heard it 15 times in one day.i wish i could have met the cast. may the politics of this subcontinent be cursed for partitioning us .thanks a million for putting it on internet.

  • Old is gold...

  • I am an Indian but I thank you Pakistanis for such a beautiful and melodious song... Its awesome

  • Pakistani old cinema Zindabad,

I cant believe this i watched old pakistani movies like "Heer Ranja", "Kartar Singh" and "Koel" and believe me i havnt seen such classical movies in my life compare it with hollywood or bollywood, I am so found of movies of all types but i really havnt seen such movies in my life

  • Good one bro. Am with you on this... a pakistani

  • Music has no boundary like the free air in the sky.Similarly no artists should be entiled for a specific territory. They are asssets for human gifted by GOD.

  • all time great song of Naseem Begum

  • How innocent and beautiful faces are! original beauty of Orient! Shamim Ara and my mother are almost of same age and they looked alike whenever I see the old photographs of my mother and my khallas, may be due to the hairdo, dress and style they were used to wear.

  • Lovely ,youthful Shamim Ara----and pretty Nayyar Sultana. Beautiful song.

  • To All,

Lahore Lahore Hey, it is very true But we can not bring it back that time.....I too miss so much Lahore. Specialy ...good old Shad Bagh arya

  • What a beautiful Pakistani song, much better than Lata's version. Lata sang much more beautifully in the 1940s and 50s.

  • @navaidasad The superb acting talent of this singer adds to the uniqueness of the song..Whos the actress.

  • @navaidasad ye gana originally pehle pakistani hai phir india ke music directors ne ise copy karke lata ji se gavaya hai,,so ye comment jisne likha hai ke lata ji ne ise 1940 and 50 me gaya ye galat likha hai,,beshak lata ji ne bahut achha gaya hai,,lekin ye gana original pakisatani hai,,,jo baat sach hai wo sach hai,,,use jhutlaya nahi ja sakta,,even bahut sare india ke gane pakistan ke gaano ki nakal hain agar ginvane lagu to bahut lambi list hai,,

  • Basically, this is song in a Pakistani movie, named SAHELI, released in 1960,s and this song with the same poetic line and exact melody line had been produced in the voice of Naseem Begum. I dod not mean, to create a comparison. But, acknowledge the courage of an indian music director, to copy EXACTLY. How ever Lata Ji sang with her superb skill and matchless voice and expression. reference to Pakistani film, is to keep the record, as it is, in fact. Thanks to the member, who up loaded this song

  • This reminds me of the time when my mom would be doing the housework, and would play this song (amongst other songs), and I was just a child playing around the house, ruining all the good work she did :)

She used to listen to this song back in the 60's (when she was a child) when pakistan and bangladesh were one. I wish it was still that way!

  • Great song, I thought Noor Jehan sang it.

  • hayati hovee mir sahib

  • Beautiful song. Takes me me back to good old days in Lahore --1962 -----the first movie I saw in LAHORE. What a pleasant memory of those 'innocent' youthful days of life in LAHORE. Those days are gone for ever -------but the memory of those days will remain-----till ? --------- till this life is over.

  • U are very right that time and people are nearly all gone u are very right,,

  • I LOVE LAHORE ITS SOO FRIGGIN CHANGED! i miss it sooo much!

  • you are very right those days gone by.

  • Beautiful

  • among the very best songs of lollywood

  • though bollywood is a big industry and it has produced many songs but the songs like this which bollywood has copied from Pakistani film industry were not sung by indian singers like origional although they have much better recording equipments. Just listen this song and then indian version and concentrate on word BAAT. How both singers have sung and u will feel the difference. Its just oneexample. Rest of the tune is also ruined.

  • yes dear, original is always original.

  • gupta ji, let me add please

the girl who is playing piano is Nayyar sultana who is the real wife of the person in the video i.e. Darpan. nayar and Darpan both are not in this world any more so pray for them.

Indians have copied so many songs, previously I used to anoyeyed but now I am used to with it. I was thinking that original should not be copied but now I am thinking that famous poetry can be copied (no one can stop it)

  • all time great song by naseem begum.

    thanks mir sahib

  • Great information. I think you are amazing when it comes to Pakistani movies. Thanks.....

  • Thank you for this classic!!

  • Thank you very much for this lovely melody in early 60s mean to state since 1957 to '65 Darpan & Santosh were uncompetiable among heros they were too demanding to catch them subsequently Waheed & Mohammad Ali took their hot seats and the last nail was fixed by the Nadeem. I really miss these type of Pak Songs/Movies in own openion great social entertainments. Thanks a lot for uploading this video I have been searching for this song for many weeks.

  • I luv the words AND the tune!!!

  • Darpan was a Hot looking man. woof

  • great song

    thans for uploading

  • Just TOO much

Can't take THIS much quality, bhaee

It's like light that is SO DAZZLING,

  • old is gold

  • Lata ji also sang this in 1990 for the film souten ki beti...it was a really nice rendition but originals are always originals

  • asi te reh ruh gay hain! a great song! legend!

  • this song reminds me of a (happy) song from the 50's -"lo pyaar ki ho gayi jeet, balam hum tere ho gaye.." (Naushad/Lata/'Jadoo')

and if the 1990 song you mention (i haven't heard it) is a copy of this 'Saheli' song, the joke is on who???? may be us, the listeners?

all said and done, both Lata Mangeshkar and Naseem Bugum songs are very pleasing to the ears and are classics. padosi to ek doosron se borrow karte hi rehte hai..

  • Kash kay ham donoo (both india and Pakistan I am not blaming any one) buhat achay parosi sabat hotay aur aapas main jang o jadal ki bajay piyar ki batain kartay. Na koi jamat islami hoti aur na koi RSS hoti, magar extremist donoo taraf hain. Koi be aik dosray say kam nahi.

  • bachpan ki yaad our hum , sabhi ganaa buthi jan lav hain, thanks mir963.kiya ap ki collection hai.

  • its so beauiful aisha, what can I say, I just love to listen this song again and again

  • Tharki

  • kya kya hua dil kay saath magar tera pyaar nahin bhoolay..........

  • I've spent many hours debating with a friend about who is more beautiful shamim ara or nayer sultana? Though they're both graceful, for me there has not been a more beautiful actress then the ever so elegant Shamim Ara.

  • thanks a lot for this song. its a great song..copied later on in a bollywood movie..

  • Yes I agree with you both madame Shamim Ara was one of the most beautiful ladies in the world, i bet she still is. She had that certain charm that sadly is no more.

  • that is right

ham bhool giya har baat mager tera piyar nahi bhoolay

shamim ara at her best,i just adhore her

    darpan was handsome guy :)

  • Oye zalim Phulo how come you totally ignored Nayer sultana? Guess what your "handsome Darpan" picked her as his life long partner in real life. I think she is very pretty and gracefull. Excellent must see musical, Naseem begum did wonders in it, laoded with one super hit after another.

  • i left her(NAYER SULTANA ) for you my makhan REHAN :)
