Why do they include hints during the loading screen? Spoiled ass kids need shit handed to them to be fun nowadays. Back in my day, we used to loiter in the grocery store, reading game magazines to try and get hints until they told us to buy or get out. We didn't have the "interweb" or whatever the hell it's called. Our controllers only had 6 buttons and we liked it that way! We didn't need save points either. If you could clear the board in a few lives you were the king. Not that EWJ was hard.
Why is it that whenever Earthworm Jim collects something or touches a checkpoint, he uses his current sound, but when he gets hit he gos back to his southern draw voice sometimes?
@Ryxaiin He was actually voiced by Dan Castellaneta in that game, who also voiced him in the animated series. Now where have you heard that name before? We all know him as the voice of Homer Simpson.
@taranchula97 You're half right. Doug Tennapel voiced Jim in the first and second games. Dan Castellaneta only voiced as Jim in 3-D, the animated series and ClayFighter 63 1/3. In this version, Scott Shaw voiced Jim.
@bazzjedimaster Not that I know of. In the credits, I only see Shaw's name being credited for the voice in this version. However, Wikipedia did mention something like that but it's not always a reliable source so I wouldn't count on it. And it's been awhile since I played the original game so I can't really tell, lol.
Bleh the music is a remake of the SNES version. >.> The Genesis/MD version better. :\ And his voice, ew. I'm debating on whether getting this or not, or just hooking up my Genesis and playing the original game.
@TheRavenfreak Sounds like the Music is great on this one. Plus, the Voice? That's the biggest Complaint, and just because his Voice sounds different makes a Comment for you to type that. Voice is by Original Creator. Well, HD got 1. Cool Graphics 2. Multiplayer 3. Bonus Levels. Pretty much, it's you Choice if you like the Content or not.
lol toilet ;P

they based the music from the snes version and not the sega cd version. pathetic.

Music on sega genesesis a lot better.

i think this overworked version now looks like a shitty browser game and not like a big classic of the whole gaming history.
and the music also isnt as good as before. *cranky kong out*

Is it just me, or does Jim sound "derpy"-er here?
Gunner193 3 months ago
@Gunner193 They replaced most of Doug Tennapel's voice clips with a guy named Scott Shaw.
Meh.

BTW: The added section was actually in the PC version of the game (special edition)

the snes sounds need to replace the current sounds

The voice isn't -too- bad. Sure, it's waaaay too Texan, but at least it's not really high-pitched like the Sega Saturn EWJ2.
My favorite voice has got to be the N64 Clayfighter 63 1/3rd EWJ. He sounded pretty BA while still being silly.

@GameDude2 weird i heard in this game its still Doug, its just that he re-recorded some of the lines, does it mention that on the credits?

Sounds like the difference between well digitzed audio for a modern console and poorly digitzed audio for an old console (SNES, etc)

Hopefully they'll make an HD version of EWJ2 as well.

Doug did his voice originally but everyone knew that "Homer" was the best voice actor for him...sadly, he's dead.

@damonkatumaru Dan Castanella, voice of Homer Simpson, is in fact not dead.
Neither is Doug TenNaple
