  • Is this track PECO's?

  • @serbetli100 Mainly Peco streamline, yes.

  • you really do like virgin trains

  • @toffie702 Various as well as VT's.

  • how do you take of the motor caridge body i am confused i have taken of the 2 screws at each end but i dont know what to do to take it of and i dont want to break it can you help me

  • @gtacrusher123 Follow the supplied instruction sheet that should come with your pendolino. Gives clear instructions on the removal of the body. Once the screws are removed, just be gentle in removing the body off the chassis.

  • @ay76 i dont think it came with the instructions sheet

  • @gtacrusher123 Every Hornby loco, train pack, set, all come supplied with an instruction maintenance sheet. If yours is missing, contact Hornby's service dept, for a replacement.

  • @ay76 it does come with a matinence sheet but it does not tell me how to take of the caridge motor body

  • @gtacrusher123 I have the maintenance sheet next to me right now. It very clearly shows & describes how to remove the body ( shows it on the two center pages of the insruction sheet). I followed the said sheet, & had no probs in removing the body. You are doing one of the driving trailers with the cab ends??

  • @ay76 it is the bachmann virgin voyager carridge motor

  • @gtacrusher123 Ah Bachmann!! Learning curve time for you this. Some thin card & a thin flat bladed screwdriver, needed. Card to be inserted where the body locating lugs are, on both sides. Be careful with the screwdriver, that you don't damage the body sides, whilst prising the body to insert the card bits.

  • @ay76 i will try that when i get home and i will message you if it woks/does not work

  • @gtacrusher123 Works every time, & also recommended technique by many many modellers.

  • @ay76 will try it now i have been out so i wll try t

  • @ay76 i have just done it and you have helped a me a lot with this you have gone to the top of my list for beieng very helpful

  • @gtacrusher123 The old thin card & screwdriver trick, very useful. Just have to be careful not to scratch the body with the screwdriver. Cheers.

  • @ay76 i used some thin plastic instead of a screwdriver

  • @gtacrusher123 Cool, it's done the job :-). Worst one i've found yet to get off ws hornby 153....arrgghh!!

  • @ay76 i dont see why they make these new trains so hard to get the body of the old trains you just had to take of some screws then the body would easly come of but with the new trains you have to take of the screws then try for about 2 hours just trying to take it of

  • @gtacrusher123 Some new ones are easy to get into, others are like...arrgghhh!!

  • one question how do you take the motor caridge apart easly because one of my windows came out of it and i need to put it back in

  • @F3ardaymark Follow the supplied instruction sheet that should come with your pendolino. Gives clear instructions on the removal of the body. Had no problems following them, when i fitted the decoders.

  • @Dinasdash Missed it by around 2"'s lol :-)

  • Please make a vid on how to couple a pendilino with another locomotive?!? :)

    Cheers!

  • It's something i'll look at next year possibly. I've seen it in Model rail mag showing how to do it. I'll need another driving trailer to do the conversion on, as i don't want to alter this one. That way i'll have one for being hauled & another for running as normal. Cheers.

  • super dooper

  • Cheers :-)

  • Quick question, what is the longest virgin voager you had on there?

  • I have two. One is the 4 car non- tilting version, the other is the 5 car super voyager.Cheers.

  • Nice vid Iain, i have a voyager myself and it is a really smooth runner, i am going to make it longer by buying two or three additional coaches lol. Thanks and again great video, 5*

  • Cool, cheers.

  • Beauty!!!!!

  • Many thanks, cheers.

  • Hey, I see you have both Bachmann Voyager and Hornby Pendolino! How do the speeds compare? My Pendolino is very fast but the Voyager quite slow by comparison... although it looks fast in your video. Thanks.

  • They all run pretty quick. What I do however is to run my loco's in for at least a couple of hours at slow to medium speeds.I find they run pretty good after doing that.I try to keep all the wheels & track clean too.Cheers.

  • will Bachmann trains work on hornby tracks?

  • Yes & vice versa.Cheers.

  • thanks!

  • wow thats alot of models how?

  • This is a small part of the fleet.Did you mean how come there is a lot or some thing else?Cheers

  • Excellent video Iain

  • Thank you. They are running with the controller set to about 1/3.Dare not run them at full power as they may take a flight down the old hatch!! Cheers

  • Very nice !

  • Thank you,Both types of Voyagers are seen here.Cheers
