1776 with a turbo, they are a blast. one friend of mine had one in his 65 beetle, dual Webers with a blow through design, it was crazy how much power that thing had for it being a street car. it would chirp 4th gear going 85mph, he blew it and he put his 1835 motor back in it with the same set up and everything. he entered it in the Unlimited Street East and destroyed the transmission on the first run.
i've been thinking about putting one in my 69 beetle. can you give me some specs on yours?

hmm I might have started in second gear, as I would cruise at 40mph 3500 rpm in 3rd gear. Honestly this was so long ago I have no idea.

motor is posted above.
stock super beetle trans
with a stage 1 clutch and new disc, new shocks, and a mid mount trans brace.
also had a empi shifter.
