You would have to give your childs thousands of pixel sticks to make them have type two diabetes. Spray tans are worse then pixel sticks.

Yes, I agree that moderation is necessary. and that many are way too much, but come on, I supposed none of you let your children ever have candy. Sometimes the bashing just gets ignorant. If a soccer mom really gets into their childs competition, and has them practice alot, thats normal and fine.

Toddlers and tiaras shows the worst of some of the moms, its notall like that. btw, im not fat and neither is my daughter. and we dont have accents. but you also think that clothes are to cover us up and thats it, so do you just wear a toga or something?

@jillkellly let kids be kids - keep them out of the TV world altogether. We all know what happens to child stars. I am a nudist myself and I live in a country in which clothing only needs to be worn for the reasons I stipulated before. Beauty pageants should become a thing of the past as they only make girls and women feel like shit inside because they can't compete with stereotyped paradigms of what beauty is. It comes from inside, not outside.

@fatpizzaman wether we like it or not, society does treat attractive people better, and I would say that is not fair. However, my daughter was six years old when she did her first pageant, and she won a crown and trophy. She went from a child who was bullied at school into a confident girl who not only felt pretty, but who stood up for herself. The whole pageant exp for her was very good, and soon her daughter will start to compete

Dear everyone, If you think giving kids pop and juice is ok, pixie sticks have barely ANY carbs from sugar. I have had type 1 diabetes for a while and pixel sticks are fairly low carbs. You would have to give your childs thousands of pixel sticks to make them have type two diabetes. Spray tans are worse then pixel sticks.

And whether they're "low in carbs" or not has nothing to do with it. The fact is, sugar has a lot of empty calories, or calories that don't give you a sufficient amount of nutrients or energy for the amount of weight.

@MinecraftDiaries It's still an excessive amount of sugar and it's not healthy in the least. Rather than training her kid to eat sweets, she should be giving her sweet fruits, like strawberries or apples.
It's very backwards to train your kid to eat a lot of things with empty calories that can cause weight gain, and then turn right around and try to strap a corset on her to make her "skinny". It's seriously ridiculous.
