@KiraWolfMe Thank you for your kind comment, it took a few years to master the pastel pencil medium but I was a watercolour artist before that. If you would like to know how it all started you can read 'My Art Story' on my website. Best regards Colin.
How would you erase mistakes? Do you use another color to cover it? A knead-able eraser etc? I'm trying to color a lion with pastel pencils at the moment and I'm not sure how to handle the short fur, seems harder than longer fur. Any tips? Your videos are great by the way.
@Antgirl89 Thank you for your interest. You can easily erase the pastel pencil medium using a soft eraser (not a kneadable one), covering the mistake with another colour could make it muddy. For lots of tips you can visit my website, plus much more. Best regards Colin.
@colin1940 oh thats not too terribly long then, but u probably have had a lot of experience tho, something like that would take me much more time than that considering i dont draw with pastel pencils, or draw dogs, i would love to get a set of pastel pencils, what brands would u prefer me to get started with?
Hi I totaly love your drawing and was wondering how you draw like that I love drawing k9s but I'm not nearly as good as you but my mom says it's because Im only 11. But it would be realy auwesome if you could make a video tutorial and give tips on how to draw them :3
@wolfsrainkiba100 Thank you for your kind comments. I do have a DVD called 'Draw and Paint Cats and Dogs' you will find it on my website. Best wishes Colin.
@07sabinne Thank you for your comment. I use sand coloured 160 gram Ingres pastel paper for all my work. This is one of the questions that will be dealt with in the new clip coming soon on my youtube site, might be worth a look. Kind regards Colin.
Your work is phenomenal! You have really done a great thing by uploading these videos. They have really been helpful to me and you have introduced me to a wonderful new medium. I can't thank you enough, I truly appreciate you. You have inspired me greatly. I wanted to ask, What do you spray on your artwork to protect and seal the pastel?
@WelcometoClubMakeup Thank you for your kind comments. I prefer not to spray my work with fixative as it greatly dulls the picture. Pastel pencil is more stable than soft pastel and if applied right will not flake or drop. There is a risk of smudging but if care is taken then I have never found this to be a problem. My best wishes to you for Christmas and the New Year, Colin.
your attention to detail is sooo incredible, a few months ago i wanted to buy fabre castelle pencils for colouring in anime pictures, eventually the idea started to get boring! but seeing this masterpiece i am INSPIRED! and feel buying them would be completely worthit! Thanks soo much! 5 stars
hi there i was wondering if i sent you a picture of my german shepherd sophie could u do a portrait of her and how much would its cost in black and white with grey
You Are Very Inspirational! I Love You Make It Seem So Simple, You Make Me Very Jealous! How Long Did It Take You To Master This? :)

We should be so blessed to do work like this who cares about muscles, bones.
This dog looks real. I'm sure the above has its place but most of us can't afford to go to college forever to learn this.
Thanks to colin for sharing his talent.
