pro wrestling is just what they call it...sports entertaiment. But these guys get hurt, crippled or worse. Brett Hart lost his brother, brother in law, and suffered a terrible stroke. I find this video extremly powerful and Bruce Springsteins song in moving. Kudos to these men and women that preform for our entertainment. I went with my boys for years. Phoney and staged? Of course...but entertaining, especially when the "heel" gets his. :)
@drdeath659 It's all fake. The supposed real injuries are also fake. My uncle wrestled under the Alias "The Million Dollar Man" The minute his gimick was up they slapped a mask on him and he became Kane. He's been working thirty years in the business and his knees are shot for shit. So be careful when you say this shit is fake.
@papashangofan: Not sure you read my post....I know these wrestlers get hurt, as do stunt men. My Dad took me to pro wrestling matches for years, and I grew up and took my sons as well. I know these wrestlers get hurt, and I never, or will ever refer to wrestling as "chit". I ment no offense, in fact my boys are full grown men now and we still enjoy going to the matches.
On October 29th & 30th Bret "hitman" Hart will return to winnipeg and be inside a ring for the first time since 1997!,
Bret hart will be signing autographs from 12:00pm to 2:30 as well as in ring photographs at intermission & will be in the ring infront of the crowd who knows what bret will do on October 29th & 30th !
wow this took me back Owen, Davie Boy true champions of the sport may they rest in peace and Bret the best there is, the best there was, the best there ever will be
That part of the video where starts crying is really hard to watch. Never EVER have I thought I'd see Bret cry. He always seems so damn strong. And he is, of course. It's just kinda ... odd, you know? Love him. I think he's a lot like me, in many, many ways. My life was a HELL, too. Still is. So I can see that pain in his eyes, that I have, too. Love you, Hitman. Take care.
hart was only pushed as much as he was cus back then wwe actually cared about the whole "my dream concept" now adays if bret was fresh meat for the roster youd never see him with the title just goes to show how the entertainment business has gone to shit
God bless you Bret. you have been through so much tragedy and you keep your chin up. Your my hero. I hope i have the privilege to shake your hand one day.
amazing wrestler but he is his own biggest fan, and you can say he is the best of all time but lets be honest he barley drew a dime, Shawn Michaels is the best ever!
look at how pumped the crowds would get after he would win,,,, sign of a true fan favorite... I tried to watch raw this week for the first time in about 5 years and it was easily the two worst hours that I have ever watched of wrestling
@truscotsman85 "One-trick pony" in the song refers to the fact that Ram is a wrestler, and that's it - he's got nothing else going for him. So saying that Bret is a really good wrestler doesn't make this song meaningless when used in conjunction with images of him, and that's okay; the singer is simply describing, not talking bad about, Ram. And yes, I'm aware he never says "Ram" in the song, but that's just because not doing so allows people to say, "He could be talking about me." Great song.
And as far as the wwe is concerned, I think Vince pretty much kicked the nail the coffin when he attacked Bret earlier in January. I always knew McMahon was an idiot who got lucky a million times over, but he's pretty much fucked up his last time. I don't know why Bret did what he did, perhaps it was the closure within the squared circle. Another thing I like to assume is that Bret doesn't account Vince responsible for Owen because he could never believe he could do something that monstrous.
i'd have to say this song is more perfect for the hitman than mickey rourks character in the film. Well maybe it's even. However Bret's story obviously has more pllot, and alot more personal sentimentality considering he's a real person.
This is a beautiful song, which to me and after seeing the film is an anthem to the REAL- nobody, underdog, hero, someone who loses, because that's what the REAL world is like and the average person is a nobody, underdog, hero etc. you know who doesn't fall into that group Bret fucking heart !!!! he's rich and famous!! his FAKE character may represent all those things but he him self is laughing!!! it's missed the point abit i think!
i love the bret hart he was the wwe i remember he was in liverpool and i got his book in asda and i was told that i could not get my book singned by bret becouse i had to of got his book from warter stones not asda i was gutted.god bless you bret and the hart family
He had a real sad look in his eyes man, I got a real sense of loss from him. Im not just saying this man. I later read the book and I then knew why. His story is a must read for any wrestling fan, a realistic and very sad story.
i would love to have the chance to meet him if not then maybe some day i might bump in to him wresling is not the same eny more with out bret but now tna is out and better then the wwe i think bret hart might be in tna as every one els is.
Bret Hart also my all time favorite wrestler.Great memories seeing him perform.I read his book, watched his documentaries and watched his matches.I would someday love to meet Bret Hart.
It was great seeing Bret back in WWE last week.He was also my favorite when wrestling was great.I agree I don't care to watch wrestling either, nowadays IT SUCKS.
Well Done on this video! It brought me to tears. I can't believe that he's coming back to Raw after 12 years. Although it's only for 4 months. Here's hoping that he stays longer than that.
Id love to see a film with a bunch of A list actors doing a film about Bret harts career etc....celebration, tradigies, action etc.......Cos alot of people who aren't into wrestling might be more keen to watch something like that
Nice video....who can forget that ununforgettable match with Mr Perfect, or the opening match with Owen at Wrestlemania X - brings back some fantastic memories.
If You Followed Jake The Snakes Career You Can See As Time Went By He Got Worse.. His Match With Undertaker At WrestleMania Was Not The Quality That U Usually Get From His Matches From Before.
Bret Hart In My Opinion Is A Mans Man.. Because If He Gave You His Word.. It Came Out Like That..
He Never Ever Question About Working With Anyone..
how would it be..bret never made a wrestling comeback when he was really old, bret isnt estranged from his daughter, bret is rich,he wasnt forced into a par time job....,bret doesnt live in a trailer....
from what i heard its based on greg the hammer valentine and jake roberts...
Bret Hart was one of the greatest wrestlers of the 90's he gave so much for this business and he did not deserve all the bullshit that has happened to him but bret hart is a survivor and he will always be remembered for his good times in the WWF. truely the best there is the best there was and the best there ever will be. thank you bret.
what makes Bret Hart different from other wrestlers is the fact that he embodies the down to earth character that he had during his run WWF. You dont see that now a days every character is an anti hero wannabe pro wrestling is satirized too death from the attitude era.

shitty way to go out. Have Vince do that is crazy. I know he was goin to WCW anyway. But dont end the watch like that. and by the sharpshooter? thats cold
lol is someone deleting my comments?? that i leave.
lol in 1997 WCW and the NWO outdrew brett by a long shot.. just that NWO shirt sold more then brett entire carrer on what he drew. lol
LOL Dude i do not care if bret was the most best athelte or w.e in the wrestling bussines bret wasnt a huge draw. He had good matches but dont mean he was a big draw. Just like Owen.. They put the strap on him 5 times because at that time even Mable main eventd due to that era being shitty.
WWF made more in revenue than WCW (97) on the strength on their ppv buyrates which Bret main-evented several times....Bret was a huge international attraction being voted most popular athlete in Europe twice and once in Japan.
Bret was the companies top moneymaker four straight years 94-97 despite not being champ the whole time and sold out venues worldwide better than anyone on the roster 94-97....He was a very strong international draw (especially in Europe) which McMahon has said himself.....It was requested for Bret to be at shows overseas because he was the main attraction....Do the homework, buddy......WWF made 400 million in revenue in 97 compared to 300 million for WCW that same year.
They put the strap on Bret five times because he was a poor draw?....Doesn't sound right....They put it on him five times because he was drawing better than anyone else.
Maybe you should do more research when it comes to Bret Hitman Hart....He was the WWE's top moneymaker four consecutive years 94-97 and in the words of Vince was "the best international draw he's ever seen".....Bret was twice voted most popular athlete in Europe....That's including all sports, btw.
Bret Hart has always been one of my favs. Decent and concentrated on what he does best. after the montreal screwjob I stopped watching pro wrestling for many years. great vid, well done.
I'm so glad to hear that. There's far to many "It's Fake!" comments out there. Like we don't know that. The fact that this profession "is what it is" shouldn't overshadow the fact of what they put themselves through. Usually all for nothing in the end.
Bret Hart would be only wrestler worth having a movie made about him. The rise, the fall, and peace he has come find.

lol in 1997 WCW and the NWO outdrew brett by a long shot.. just that NWO shirt sold more then brett entire carrer on what he drew.

They put the strap on Bret five times because he was a poor draw?....Doesn't sound right....They put it on him five times because he was drawing better than anyone else.
ronnieleej1981 2 years ago 5
Adidas,
Maybe you should do more research when it comes to Bret Hitman Hart....He was the WWE's top moneymaker four consecutive years 94-97 and in the words of Vince was "the best international draw he's ever seen".....Bret was twice voted most popular athlete in Europe....That's including all sports, btw.

Hahahaha thats why from 1994-1997 WWF was gona go out of bussines.. lol
Yes he was such a good draw. If it wasnt for Austin.. WWF wouldnt even be alive today..
Face facts his era that Bret was "champion" was a complete joke.. It was the worst time for the WWF.
Even Vince admit it.

I'm not a big fan of wrestling, but the movie gave me a new appreciation for what these guys go through.

I'm so glad to hear that. There's far to many "It's Fake!" comments out there. Like we don't know that. The fact that this profession "is what it is" shouldn't overshadow the fact of what they put themselves through. Usually all for nothing in the end.
