This guy is just looking to make a fuss....He's totally wrong about bringing any gun to a social gathering.....I'm 60 years old and have handled fire arms my whole life....It is always, always, always trouble when you mix the two.....unless its hunting or on a firing range and then you have risks......He is just plain wrong!!!
this man handled himself well. outside the sign, i trust him with a firearm. thats rare coming from me. i told a cop once that the only person i really trust with a gun is yours truly. i then looked down ad his pistol and i could see the wheels turning in his head. lol
Secrete service had guns at that speech and town hall meeting, more so than what that man was wearing and no one has a problem with the president having a right to defend himself. But it's a problem for someone who legally received a permit to have one there? So If the president was not there it's ok.We are the people that he is to protect and the Constitution. Why is hardball judging him?
I think people showing up to protests with guns is an obvious attempt to intimidate ...why haven't we ever seen this before...think about it.....we never saw any one carrying guns at protests against President Bush or any other President for that matter. Why now all of a sudden with President Obama?
While I disagree with this mans ideology, I applaud the exercise of his constitutional rights and his reasoned, articulate answers. If everyone, both liberal and conservative, would read the constitution + bill of rights once in a while, I think we would all be better for it. (I think we should go back to the original, pre-1950's motto "e pluribus unum" as well, but thats off topic,)
Wow. now i know why i dont watch this guy. sheeple, sheeple , sheeple... original thought is dead! how can he be on TV it is a mistake. this guy is related to Jimmy Carter?
There are 300 million guns in private ownership in the US. If they are so wonderful, maybe there should be 3 trillion or 30 trillion. Maybe we should start trading bullets instead of dollars.
There, there... That's a good little citizen... Just drink a little more of this yummy, delicious kool-aid... Only the State can responsibly own guns... An unarmed citizen is a good little citizen... Mmmm....Yummy... Freedom is slavery... Two plus two makes five...
"Shouldn't there be limits to the 2nd Amendment? "
What? You never heard of gun control laws?
There are well over 20,000 gun control laws out there, with some current estimates going upwards of 30,000.
I would say that that is some serious limiting on an Amendment that contains the specific command, "...the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
Chris Matthews is out of line and really unprofessional. You want a "limit" to the 2nd amendment? You then put a limit on how many times you can breathe per minute. Its an asinine question.

Who cares if the president was there, he is no more special than the next man. The 2nd amendment takes precedence over obama.

yes but there are some places and events where guns shouldn't be allowed. this is one of them.

It's too bad only one man was armed.
if you want your rights to be limited, that's fine.
however, you have no authority to limit my rights!
SuperAtheist 2 years ago
What? Like Virginia Tech?
Oh, wait, that's right! Guns weren't allowed there, and yet... Someone showed up with a gun and no one else had one to defend themselves...
Yeah, like some idiot who wants to assassinate the Prez. is going to care about some stupid "no gun" zone...
Give me break... What a brainwashed Libtard!
