This is not what really happened. This scene makes it look like Winters had a choice whether or not to shoot from a distance. - What actually happened: Winters and the German soldier both tossed grenades over the embankment at eachother. Winters didn't go off. (He pulled the pin but forget to take the safety off). He then ran up the embankment and shot the German at almost point blank range. And there was no pause. It happened fast. - One more factual mistake among MANY in Band of Brothers.

@Survivorgroup1 The Pararescue training is harder then Airborne. If you have a heart condition you might not be able to even join the military except for some desk job or supply sergeant. Besides the Pararescue training is the longest and has the highest drop out rate in all of the military.

During world war 2 you could tell the infantry were amazing the 101st weapons were mainly lost on the jump and we still took the front even if it meant using a krauts weapon. Vietnam however was a joke the reason why we won the battles was because we were ruthless and shot anything that moved half the time our soldiers were high. We didn't even have a good air force or either that or our officers were retarded did they have any napalm drops that didn't hit a friendly i ask?

ok if you have artillery hit NEAR you, you will have two things to worry about:

1-shratenal, all the shit from the explosion

2-shock waves, those are the things that can scramble your organs almost like it hit you

2- It's not often that an artillery shell lands ontop of a person with the actual projectile killing them. It's the shockwave produced by the explosives inside it. The shockwave doesn't usually destroy your organs (depending on how close you are) it just tears them from each other, thus killing you.
