Ipkiss was a neurotic loner who fantasized about murdering people and when he got the Mask, all his inhabitions just went away. The Mask killed people, and quite brutally, knocked Ipkiss' girlfriend around. Afterwards the Mask got into the hands of Kalleway, who got transformed into the same being but with a slightly different personality, only killing 'bad-guys"
