  • the snakes like

    why you touch'n me?

  • Let us not judge this show too harshly...I mean, I agree it is pretty bad for the snake who is facing all this...but the academy which is doing this is doing many good things too...and doing this just one small bad thing helps them get funds for their other good activities...for eg.

1...they remove snakes from peoples houses, gardens, cars and what not.

2...they rescue and rehabilitate snakes which have had accidents like being run over by cars etc.

    3...they help produce antivenin.

  • I'm not some kind of animal rights freaking retard and stuff... but it's weird! if people would takes dogs and do that to them or alot of other animals people would be outraged and you take these poors snakes who are defending themselves and are scared out of there mind.. and no one cares.. It's a little sad

  • that king is sedated! a snake like that in the wild will come at you and chase you sometimes.

  • Is that cobra druged?

  • i think god put lions tigers monkeys gorillas bears etc so that we can just hang out with them and pet them .... =)

  • i should really start my homework...

  • IN SOVIET RUSSIA COBRA PUSH YOU IN THE FACE

  • It's Thailand what do you suggest? Lol...

  • heres a trick let it rest its face on your neck.

  • they probably got the venom taken out of the snake before doing any stunts with it

  • @marsono1 I'm pretty sure you can't take all the venom out of a snake. Since it's a form of protection for them and they also use it to paralyze and kill animals. They have venom glands which gives them an unlimited supply of venom.

  • No snakes have 'poison theeth' or poison teeth for that matter. They have venom glands and inject the venom through their teeth.

Regardless, you're still wrong even if you meant they don't have venom glands. Watch some of the other videos posted by TPDC and you'll see some of the snake handlers and the bites they've had during their work.

I visited them back in November and I thought the same thing going in - but I assure you these snakes are very real and very deadly.

  • They dont have poison theeth.

  • but i think this is not a good method to play with snakes. they should live in wilderness. not be caged

  • poor snakes, stupid people... their ass is asking for it and may I say "I hope he gets bitten in the balls"...

He surely is asking for it... like every other idiot who screws with crocs n snakes in this country. Idiots!

  • @asconan steve irwin was awsome at playing with dangerous animals on land, but he died from trying water creatures. RIP steve irwin was da bomb!

  • Poor snakes being put In shows

  • He'll've been de-fanged. This is a horrible video! Please take it off...

  • They still have their fangs... they sell the venom and need to milk them.

  • Then this guy will have been a lot more worried about the bite, seeing as an envenomation would have lead to death after about 30-90 minutes.

This is still a cruel act, no matter what you say about it. They have been torn from their habitat, milked of their protection on a regular basis and confronted in front of many spectators as a sport. Of which they get very scared, aggressive and defensive.

  • A guy died from a bite with the kings here. 30-90 minutes? Nope. He died in 8 minutes. They have their teeth - I've seen them. I've seen the scars on arms where the cytotoxins have eaten the flesh. How are you going to argue against something you have no direct knowledge of? They are cautious about a bite, but they're confident too. The guy that died was with a new snake. This one, they've had for a few weeks. They rotate them, letting them go after a few weeks. They're quite slow after a while.

  • I may not have much 'direct' experience with this particular snake (Which is true but quite presumptuous of you) but I have studied the king cobra, it is rare that it takes such a little amount of time to kill someone. However, I was being generous with my time scale, just in case there are any other herpers out there that disagreed strongly.

  • @thaipulsedotcom wow only 8 minutes thats crazy stupid tv always says some crap like 60 minutes so they need real people to tell us this stuff

  • They're everywhere in thatiland? Out in the open 0___0

  • are these the same cobras you bought?

  • No, no... I've never even seen a baby king cobra in the wild - or anywhere yet. The ones I had were monocled cobras. Venom is stronger, but they dont transfer as much as the MUCH larger king cobra above. Recently I saw a king like the one above - but, MUCH bigger in a park close by. I saw his tail as it disappeared across the road behind me into the bushes. It made this one look like a dwarf.

  • i live in thailand, too, and i saw 3 cobras so far with my own eyes. one in the outskirts of bkk, one outside chiang mai in a village and one in khao yai national park. the last encounter was pretty intense. we arrived in the night time at a hostel. i was too lazy to take the foot path around and went str8 over the lawn up to the veranda. when they turned on the lights for us a i saw a 4 meter long cobra slithering underneath it.

  • A 4 meter snake in the grass by your feet at night - yeah, that's intense... a scary moment - did you change your pants afterward? ;)

  • it was already a third of its length under the veranda. i wanted to pull it back out to take a nice look at it, but the thais i was with got frantic and stopped me. i'm not really afraid of snakes, but i've got a healthy respect towards them.

  • I'm really glad they stopped you... the king cobra is very good at turning around instantly and biting very high up your body. One cobra handler I talked with in Thailand was bitten high on the arm while in a palm tree plantation trying to tire one out... The guy was about 5'10", so they have a LOT of power to get up high...

  • I would have to be there to get a first hand glimpse, to tell if this video/or any video's; on youtube, such as these are authentic or not! Is that not fair to say?

  • ho ho!!!
