Other than that, sad sad video for even a DeLorean owner. A DeLorean can have many problems, after all, everything, including those stainless steel panels, is 27 years old...but that is not a good enough reason to not maintain it, or try to restore it.

It is such a shame, to see that a car like that would be left to rot, 1 of approximately 8,589 ever made worldwide.

Restoring it takes money, and time. But it is worth it in the end.

Its not a Delorean, but I just saved a Lancia Zagato from the crusher. Perfect condition. Drained fluids, added battery, checked it all and runs perfect. the inside and out, looks like new. Sitting at a salvage yard!?? Whats the matter with people.

Vendors are NO better I sold my Red Delorean to PJ Grady in LI NY,in Jan 2004,he LEFT IT TO ROT in his Business property,he sold it to Chris of Grady Europe,which in turn the possible new buyer sent me pics as it sat at Gradys all those years,interior all Moldy and moss all over the carpet,seat tracks rusty..Car had previously been stored indoors for last 15 yrs covered and protected..a real mess AFTER PJ Gradys outside storage...WHY did he not care to keep it from getting moldy???

All joking aside. You would have to spend nearly 40 thousand US dollars to restore this car to acceptable condition... and then you'd be able to sell it for 20 thousand dollars...or less, it's one of the HORRIBLE automatics! That car should be used as parts for another DeLorean.

Just out of curiosity, I looked up the VIN number of this DeLorean, in the DML VIN list here is what I found:

Sale Year: 1981

Year of mfg: November 1981

Sold to: Rotterdam, Netherlands

Sold to: Dealer 33103

Yes, only when i found it, it was in Schipluiden, just under Delft.
