Overall, Games 1, 2 and 3 were not against the Kings. The refs helped the Kings in game 3 giving them 35 FT's to the Lakers 15. But Game 1, Game 2 and Game 3 were not one sided, overall, good offiiciating. But if Kings fans want to complain about Game 6, Laker fans can complain about Game 3. Kobe Bryant fouled out with over 2 min to play??? Come on.

I firmly believe if Peja had been healthy, the Kings would have won. At that point Peja had been monstrous, and had a killer 3pt percentage that year.

But otherwise, a strong duel between two great teams. I haven't seen a rivalry like this since.

Hmmm, a little one sided there? Game 3: Lakers-15, Kings-35!!!! Are you kidding me? Game 4: Lakers-27, Kings-26. Very even. Game 5: Lakers-23, Kings-33!!!! Game 6: Lakers-40, Kings-25. The only time the Lakers had a definite FTA advantage in the series, where as the Kings held it for 3 games. GAme 7: Lakers 33 Kings 30

OK SO FAR: Kings outplayed the Lakers. The Lakers were looking terrible, they weren't hitting their shots and leaving Kings players wide open. The refs played no part in deciding the outcomes of Game 1 or Game 3, Game 2 was poorly officiated but the Lakers still didn't play that good.

Robert Horry played and won titles with Rockets in the mid 90's (before Webber and Bibby and Peja were even in the NBA), Fox has been playing for a while, Kobe, Fisher, Shaq, and Lindsey Hunter were all veterans, Hunter spent years with Detroit. So, no that is not why. The reason the Lakers were better was because they didn't bark at the refs every 5 seconds like the Kings did and they had tons of experience.

The refs didn't screw the Kings. The Kings would have won the series if they could have won Game 1, but they didn't. The Lakers played better than them in Game 1 and that game was well officiated.

Yeah I agree. To me they were the most beautiful team to watch ever. Their ball movement was tremendus. Everybody was totally unselfish and played their hearts out for each other in order to get the job done. Individually they were great, but as a team they were even better. If Stojakovic would have been healthy, the Kings would probably have won it all that year.
