The more pressure you exert (ie weight), the more traction you gain. The more traction you gain, the more the engines power is used to move forward and climb rather than staying in the same spot digging holes and spinning the traction wheels. So when you said hes doing nothing but add weight, that was exactly his point. Although in this case one person isnt going to make a hell of difference since the frontiers flatbed can carry up to ton in load. Thats why the end spins so mch, it has no weight

check out sedona staircase climb. thats the benefit of airing down and picking a good line. "as slow as possible, as fast as necessary".

Depending on when you go you can run it in reverse (at night or during a rain storm, so there is no pink jeeps).

Wouldn't do that during the day.

Would have saved yourself a lot of trouble if you would have aired down. Looks like you still had street pressure in the tires.
