This was such a kickass expansion. Mobs used to hit for insane amounts of damage it put a somewhat hardcore feeling back into an already more hardcore game. Top end guilds used to struggle with mid raids and the missions took hours of focus and needed people who knew their class in and out. I'm gonna miss this one; it will be old and untouched for sure when VoA hits if its not completely already.

What people don't understand is, there will never be another game with the impact EQ had when you first played it. It was the original and everything in it was groundbreaking and never seen before. The mechanics and gameplay are still untouchable. WoW came along and catered to the masses with glitzy graphics and gameplay anyone can pick up. It took ideas from EQ and improved on some and destroyed others. The group & raid aspect of EQ is something WoW has not come close to matching.

gotta love them for adding new content. but yeah, people already hated the luclin character models when luclin first came out - and many of them are still using the old models.

i don't understand why soe hasn't touched this issue ever again for another 10+ expansions.

@DependsOnMyMood well the graphics/animation on some things could be a little better since the game will be 11 in march but overall game play isn't so bad. i didn't mind playing it even tho it's only 2D and some of the newer games now are 3D but it's up the the one that is playing and what they like. but you might enjoy it if ya try, raids seem to be the only thing that is fun in the game anymore now with the different changes

Lol got to admit they are far behind in terms of graphics lol guess some people don't mind too much since everquest still run a huge fanbased player i guess but i never tried it myself so who knows :D

They don't make the graPHiCs amazing so that people with shit systems can still play. Also for a large online game such as this, even slightly better graphics would slow frame rate by quite a lot
