Awesome...There is indeed no sit com like the impact of the Partridge Family. This show was so ahead of it's time. And yes it would have had a longer run if David Cassidy didn't want to shed that bubble gum image.
@ferngullyful Ok i'm 12 and I happen to like this show. I'll admit this isnt one of they're best songs, but if you don't like this show, then why watch it? And then to even comment on it? If you really think putting a video down on the internet is cool, get a life dude.
The Partridge Family is the best TV show America ever produced, It is the best band for all pop music ever produced up to 2012. David Cassidy and Shirley Jones are superstars to the world !
It was not rare for this show to be topical. Lorrie often had a cause that she advocated. But this was arguably the most important episodes. Race relations, extortion, the struggle of African Americans were not things readily discussed on a prime time television, much less feel-good, music show. But it worked.
It was 1970 and a time of turmoil in America (Vietnam, demonstrations, et.al.). But this show managed to get the message across. Very commendable.
One of my favourite episodes. The Partridge Family was pure entertainment at its best. This is so great to show the harmony between the cultures. Something we today are so ignorant of. I just love when good triumphs over bad. When the head of the Panthers calls his reinforcements to surround the hoods, it brings chills to my spine and tears to my eyes. The world can learn a lot from this episode.
this is sooo crazily uplifting. theyre so into it! <3 i absolutely love the partridge family. im a teenager now and i wish i was a kid when this was still coming out!!
Is it me or if you slowed down the tempo, you'd have "Under the Bridge" from the Red Hot Chili Peppers? Sing this to the verse: "Sometimes I feeeel like I don't have a partner, sometimes I feeel like I don't have a friend..." :-) If that doesn't show how cool the Partridge Family is, nothing will!
This was such a badass episode. You've got Richard and Lou playing brothers that are determined to book bands to come and play for free in a low income neighborhood so people that have never been to a concert get to have on for free. A mix up sends the Temptations to the Partridge gig and Partridge Fam to this gig. Best part of the episode is Danny going to The Black Panthers HQ and recruiting them to play violin & horns, HILARIOUS. The look the leader gave him was PRICELESS.
Tracy ain't doing SHIT.

I need more cowbell!! LOL!!! Love my Partridges. Easy to see why David Cassidy was a superstar in 70s. He had the "it" factor and a great voice.
