@Lithium122 If the save point is red, it means that there is an attacking ghost around, usually a random ghost if you're able to leave the area or a ghost part of the storyline (unable to leave the area in thsi case). You could either run away if its a random ghost and come back later to save or fight it if its part of the storyline.

Those spirits are so fast, especially that Junsei character. It looks real hard to keep up.

People had beliefs back then that made sense to them. I don't like the idea of sacrificial rituals but I'm a realist and don't believe in ghosts (although sometimes I get paranoid if I watch something like this and have to walk through my house in the dark- I hate the doll we have that overlooks the kitchen and dining area. She is so creepy).

well sadly rituals like this were done like there was one where they would take a child of 7 years old bury her alive in the mountain and then this was to insure that the mountain would let their crops grow anicent Japan had a lot of crazy and insane rituals before shinto I think
