On Leavenworth's authenticity:

"Das Gift" is a shop in Leavenworth. Unfortunately, "gift" means "poison" in German.

Also, the Welcome sign was incorrect for a long time reading "Wilkomen zu Leavenworth" translating literally, to "welcome towards Leavenworth".

It is correct now - "Willkomen in Leavenworth"

I love leavenworth. i go every chance i get! the food itself is worth the trip from olympia, but the shops, the scenery, and just the feel of being there puts it over the top

We love Leavenworth and have been visiting since I was a child, and now I take my young children there several times a year. We especially love beers and brats at the Munchen Haus' beer garden, visiting the Hat Shoppe and Woodshoppe, and always buy awesome cheese from the Cheese Monger. It feels like a little bit of Bavaria just 2 hours from Seattle! Great video!!
