This is a very good acting interpretation, although the lip-synching (I believe to her 1957 EMI recording with Serafin, the finale here abridged) is a bit inaccurate. Jane Seymour gives us probably the best screen impersonation of Callas. A recent Italian miniseries was a total joke, and although Fanny Ardant managed quite a convincing and emotional portrayal in CALLAS FOREVER, the film itself was such an indulgent, ridiculous, grotesque parody that as a work it belongs in the garbage!
