As for talking about the Quraan talks mostly about fear and torment then you have to realize that most of Humanity will not enter paradise it is Only for the Righteous and nor the corrupt or the wicked which show that, it is only fair and logical to punish these kind of people who don't Love,Respect, or Fear him because they are heedless and the only thing they can think about is their lusts of this life which the Prophet said is a short life and he said most people will only live up to 60yrs.
In return we will get paradise which is something the prophet said no eye has seen no ears have heard and it didn't even happen to be in anyone's mind or heart because none has seen it except the prophet himself so we worship Allah willingly out of our own will and we get Paradise for doing so! I think that's an easy bargain especially when we can't pay anything in order to enter it because it is the most expensive thing in anyone's Life!
I will give you a simple example of the word Taqwah= which actually has all this meaning and we are supposed to take the Quraan literally! so what does it mean it means Respect for something, Fear from something, and Love for somthing! basically to first of all Respect God, Love him, and Fear him because if you do that then you truly believe that he deserves Love and Respect along with fear of his punishment! Because God the one who has created us so we only live for the purpose of worship!
The whole point of Humanity is that they don't want to worship God based on his commandments the want to do what ever they want so God explains that if they did that they will go to the Helllfire! Which is called being Honest something the Jews,Christians and the rest of Humanity except for the true Muslims don't know about or just don't like being honest and Modest!
The problem with most people is that they don't study Classical Arabic and they get some translation of the Quraan and try to make fun of it! So for all the Ignorant and Close-Minded people out there you have to study Arabic to actually know the exact meaning of what the quraan says because just for one of the words in the Quraan has about nine meanings that means you would have to get nine different quraans and read them all and then you would have gotten the true meaning! So best thing study!

The Quraan is easy and clear if you understand it in its language but it is hard for someone whose studying it in any other language because it was revealed in Arabic because it has distinct meanings that can't be altered or changed that is why it was revealed in that language!

There is no modern scientific knowledge in the Quran. At best, the Quran contains scientifiic knowledge that was already known in the Greek and Roman empire which traded with the Arab tribes at the time. @6thMessenger hi the word Taqqiya is an Arabic word which means to fear,love and respect the laws of of God but the Shia which by the Law of Islam which is the Shariah they are not considered Muslims and that is the majority except for maybe less then ten percent and so not everyone that claims something is a part of that thing! Just like people who call them selves Christians yet they don't follow any of the Ten Commandments and they have a different Creed then what Christianity was based on!

Allah is a contraction of 2 words, meaning "the god". Many cultures, even polytheists had a head god that was called "the god". Zeus, was THE GOD, but clearly not the same one that Muslims believe in. In Pre-Islamic times, Pagans used Allah as the name of their head deity -The creator of the world and giver of rain, and he was a moon God.

Angel Jabril revealed the Quran in 7 different dialects. Zaid Bin thabit was Muhammad's personal scribe.
20 years after the death of muhammad Uthman told his scribes if THEY didn't agree with something Zaid had stated or compiled they could change it into a different dialect to change meaning. But They were just men. Then he ordered contradictions to what he had written to be bruned! He didn't have the authority to destroy or re-write ANY part of the Quran.

It is something that you memorize from a scholar to his sons and teaches the people the same thing that's how the Quraan was memorized by the Companions of the Prophet and the taught their families through this Classical way Quraan means recitation! So that's how the seven recitation has been saved! As for Uthmaan burning the Quraans in his time he has the Autority to do so because the messenger has said that for all righteous rulers can do that!

Uthman re-wrote the Quran 20 years after Muhammad died. Uthman destroyed all other Quranic fragments (becuase there were very few whole writtings left). Uthman destroyed Hafsa's Quran. If his was the same, then why destroy hers? Because his was different. The Standard Quran is a lie, a corruption, and it was illegal by Islamic law to destroy any Quranic writings.

@6thMessenger So Uthmaan kept the dialect of the Muhammad as the Master piece and that is called Hafsah a'n A'aasim which is now the main recitation in the Saudiyah and all over the world but the are ten main recitations that are acceptable because they are the main dialects of the time of Muhammad may the prayers and peace be upon him! This is a saying that we are order to say when we say his name because his name means the one whom people praise exceedingly and it is true as Allah had said!

As you see, translators try to come up with interpretations so they add word (brightness) because they are no cosmologist.Translation is never authentic.
The most astonishing thing about this is how you can twist it to mean things that Muhammad had no clue about in the 7th century. IF this was divinely inspired he would have called it a black hole, or quasar. The fact of the matter is that the arabic in the Quran is NOT clear, but is quite obvious that the writtings were not divinely inspired.
It is much more likely that the Quran is describing nothign more than a bright star.

the translations you used are twisted, I translated word to word, thaqib = piercer, tariq = knocker. Also, it's funny how you have no idea what you're talking about. God used words we will be using when we'll discover those things, as we cannot imagine a 4D space, we used a 2D space and 1D time and stars deform space-time by curving hollows in it and black hole curvature is infinite : a pierced hole, the fact that it was revealed in 7th century proves it's divine.

The same for th-q-b = hole/piercing, thababa (pierced), yathqubu (pierces), thaqib-un (piercer).
Mountains aren't pegs. They are the coming togther of two plates of different density and in ONE of 4 types of formations, the denser plate will fold underneath the other. I understand your confusion because some geologists will very misleadingly call this the "root", but it does not connect the plates together and is does not stabalize the crust of earth.

The problem with most people is that they don't study Classical Arabic and they get some translation of the Quraan and try to make fun of it! So for all the Ignorant and Close-Minded people out there you have to study Arabic to actually know the exact meaning of what the quraan says because just for one of the words in the Quraan has about nine meanings that means you would have to get nine different quraans and read them all and then you would have gotten the true meaning! @6thMessenger Its called being honest to people look I am not Arab but I studied Arabic and I was raised in a country that is very fluent in Arabic language so it is easier for me to understand it! The Quraan is easy and clear if you understand it in its language but it is hard for someone whose studying it in any other language because it was revealed in Arabic because it has distinct meanings that can't be altered or changed that is why it was revealed in that language!

Arabic is one of the most confusing languages and difficult languages to learn. It is EXTREMELY easy to change meanings or misunderstand meanings of written Arabic.
I have heard Arab muslims interpret the title of Surah 86 AT-TARIQ as "the slapper."

There is no modern scientific knowledge in the Quran. At best, the Quran contains scientifiic knowledge that was already known in the Greek and Roman empire which traded with the Arab tribes at the time. Muhammad being a trader, most likely had contact with people verbally relayed the scientific theories of the day.
BUT many of those theories have been proven wrong.

Allah is a contraction of 2 words, meaning "the god". Many cultures, even polytheists had a head god that was called "the god". Zeus, was THE GOD, but clearly not the same one that Muslims believe in. In Pre-Islamic times, Pagans used Allah as the name of their head deity -The creator of the world and giver of rain, and he was a moon God.

Angel Jabril revealed the Quran in 7 different dialects. Zaid Bin thabit was Muhammad's personal scribe.
20 years after the death of muhammad Uthman told his scribes if THEY didn't agree with something Zaid had stated or compiled they could change it into a different dialect to change meaning. But They were just men. Then he ordered contradictions to what he had written to be bruned! He didn't have the authority to destroy or re-write ANY part of the Quran.

It is something that you memorize from a scholar to his sons and teaches the people the same thing that's how the Quraan was memorized by the Companions of the Prophet and the taught their families through this Classical way Quraan means recitation! Uthman re-wrote the Quran 20 years after Muhammad died. Uthman destroyed all other Quranic fragments (becuase there were very few whole writtings left). Uthman destroyed Hafsa's Quran. If his was the same, then why destroy hers? Because his was different. The Standard Quran is a lie, a corruption, and it was illegal by Islamic law to destroy any Quranic writings.

@6thMessenger So what has been changed is that it has been Authorized by the leader Uthmaan ibn Affaan to burn all the copies that were available to stop fighting and to stick to the dialect of only the Prophets people which is now known as the Quraish people! But until now the other seven still exist and they have been kept through the system of memorizing from father to son which is a very ancient tradition of the Muslims to teach their children to memorized their Recitation from the Prophet!

The reason there are still Christians in Islamic countries is out of sheer stuborness of the Christians, but I assure you, there is still much persecution of non-believers in those countries. Let me approach this from the most logical perspective.
You say Islam is true based on your belief the Quran is divine and contains true information. So if any single thing in the Quran is found to be wrong or could be improved upon by a man, it proves that it is neither divine or true.
The Quran states that mountains have roots that hold the ground in place. That is false.
Therefore the premise that the Quran is true and divine fails, and Islam isn't the truth.

The most astonishing thing about this is how you can twist it to mean things that Muhammad had no clue about in the 7th century. IF this was divinely inspired he would have called it a black hole, or quasar. The fact of the matter is that the arabic in the Quran is NOT clear, but is quite obvious that the writtings were not divinely inspired.
It is much more likely that the Quran is describing nothign more than a bright star.

A black hole has a piercing brightness when it swallows matter like a quasar which is a massive black hole, and it pierces space-time and it emits periodic signals like a knocker at the door (a Pulsar).
All major properties which we actually detect black holes with are summed up with 2 words in these verses : Knocker and Piercer.
This is God speaking.
If this is not enough, hell will be enough.

They are detected by gravitational affects they have on surounding stars and planets. A Quasar is completely different.

the translations you used are twisted, I translated word to word, thaqib = piercer, tariq = knocker. Also, it's funny how you have no idea what you're talking about. God used words we will be using when we'll discover those things, as we cannot imagine a 4D space, we used a 2D space and 1D time and stars deform space-time by curving hollows in it and black hole curvature is infinite : a pierced hole, the fact that it was revealed in 7th century proves it's divine.

The Surah is about how Allah is taking an oath to sky and stars that all of Mankind's deeds are being recorded, about how Allah created man, and that on the day of judgement man will have no power and no one would help them. The it goes on to say non-believers are scheming, but Allah is also scheming.

Arabic is my mother tongue, I read this chapter nearly everyday in my prayers, I speak, read and write Arabic, Tariq means knocker, from the root "t-r-q" = knock, the verb is taraqa (knocked, past) yatruqu (present/future) Tariq-un (subject : Knocker), so you're not gonna tell me what Tariq means you retard. The same for th-q-b = hole/piercing, thababa (pierced), yathqubu (pierces), thaqib-un (piercer).
Believe in or not, I cannot care less.

وَ السَّمَآءِ وَ الطَّارِقِ If translated incorrectly into english that would be read like this in english "And the sky and slapper"
النَّجۡمُ الثَّاقِبُ is read as "piercing star" which just means bright star piercing the darkness of the sky.
Fortunately we have YUSUFALI, PICKTHAL, and SHAKIR to correctly translate the Arabic verses into English so we don't wind up mistranslating words.

Mountains aren't pegs. They are the coming togther of two plates of different density and in ONE of 4 types of formations, the denser plate will fold underneath the other. I understand your confusion because some geologists will very misleadingly call this the "root", but it does not connect the plates together and is does not stabalize the crust of earth.
