I wasted $600 on Pimsleur Spanish. Latinos in my hood

from Mexico, El Salvador, Ecuador, DR and Honduras. They told me they don't speak that kind of Spanish but they could understand me. But when they spoke to me I couldn't understand them unless they spoke real slow. So I tried the other course the lady recommended (Learning Spanish Like Crazy), now the Latinos think I'm Latino when they hear me speak and I can understand them too. So Learning Spanish Like Crazy is the best.

I agree with the lady. I did the Pimsleur Spanish course and they don't

cover much vocabulary and grammar. And the vocabulary was too formal.

My Dominican, Puerto Rican and Mexican friends laughed at me when

I used the Pimsleur Spanish. For learning Spanish that you can use

with native Spanish speakers, Learning Spanish Like Crazy is much

better.

Haha, watashimo nihongo ga wakarimasu! I used Pimsleur's for japanese up to the 3rd unit, which would be like, lesson 40. But then, i decided to study chinese, so i've kind of forgot a lot of the japanese i used to know.

i think pimsleur is equal to LSLC because although LSLC covers a lot of vocab you have to do a LOT of outside review to memorize it(they introduce words all the time that you never hear again :/, esp in part 2).

With pimsleur you they repeat what you learn so much, there is NO outside review required so it is easier to do passively while distracted.

If like most people who buy audio tapes you want to passively learn in your car pimsleur is better. To start with at least. Then you can try LSLC

She didn't look over Level 2 and Level 3

This review is really unfair because it only covers 1/3 of the entire course and compares it to the full LSLC course.
