  • Whoa! You're certainly scaring me with how fast you're running 'er there. I'd be afraid mine would fly off the rails....

  • @Shipwright1918 I don't yet have RC on it so I have to set the throttle so it will make it up the hill, this means it flies down the hill. The track is pretty good with broad curves and it hasn't tilted, let alone gone airborne yet!

  • Yes it difinitely needs radio control. I guess the half inch piston upgrades would help a lot on the grades but for the cost, might as well buy an Accucraft Fourny which already has the larger pistons and you now get a bigger water boiler. I run max four cars behind my little guy and granted they are all metal and heavy it still hauls fairly well for a little engine. Please view it @deltatrains.

  • Fast little bugger! Love how it manages not to derail on those curves!

  • Thats a nice steamer!

  • I see you have your semaphore singal out. What did you have to do to get it fixed?

  • @IllinoisTrains1 I had to send it back and chat with the guy who makes them. They had a problem with the circuit design that he fixed and I haven't had problems since. Only thing I need to do is re-align the arm/flag so it is more straight up in the vertical aspect. I originally aligned them so that the colors shined better when viewed from a low angle, but this appears unnecessary with the signal on the ground, and it had the arm at about 1 o'clock rather than high-noon.
