  • Do it..we need a Linux OS on the phone.

  • HP. Welcome to corporate america. It has nothing to do with tech. It all has to do with dollars. They enjoy outsourcing labor to reap slave labor in 3rd world countries.

  • Qt is pronounced 'cute'! :P

  • Now that's a worthy asset for Linux roadwarriors!

  • Happy B day Linux, and thanks to every one that has helped make it was it is today. Lots of love to you all.

  • Gotta compile a "Best Ryan Intro Collection"!

  • Happy Birthday Linux!

  • The Mozilla Platform will help, Bryan.

  • Could a Symbian phone (Nokia 5800) run Debian?

  • It looks like nyan cat has gone pas in the background.

  • Hey Chris, great show! Can you tell me what software do you use for recording & editing the show?

  • Great show!

  • 25:30

  • I rarely run linux, but I still can't miss las. I guess I'm always hoping to hear them talk about the perfect linux distro for me. I haven't found it yet, but maybe one of these days. I am running ubuntu on my old laptop, but that's as far as it goes for me.

  • @mattslone What do you need in your disro? Whats important for you? As linux is very customizable I'm sure there is a solution for every problem.

  • KDE guy @ 48:13

  • Debian FTW!

    Good show guys,HAPPY BDAY LINUX

  • Taiwan shout out, awesome.

  • ill buy that laptop...if i can play minecraft at 130mph

  • Haha... as soon as I heard the news about Web OS I knew Brian would be freaking out! Thats why I looked forward to watching this episode so much! xD

  • I would be really interested in some sort of free OS running on any device, nit would be great to see it working with OpeniBoot on iDevices.

  • Just in regards to magazines, it's the price for lack of content that kill it. Remember back in the 90's when Wizard was hundreds of pages for like $3.50-$4? These days they are like ~50 pages for $5.99, twice the price and a third of the content. I'd even accept "old" content that is old by the time it's printed if I didn't pay almost ten dollars for a 50 page mag that has ad's in it as well.

  • did pulse crash again?? ah no.. it was the B-Man introooooo effect.. ;)

  • "Then - We Bring on Aaron Siego" it's Seigo :)

  • Here's the problem with The Linux Journal going to print: NO ONE WILL PAY FOR THAT KIND OF SUBSCRIPTION. The fact that you're paying to have someone email you files just feels wrong. Frankly, I think that they're going to lose money out of this, since there's no DRM on the PDFs that they sell. They're going to be pirated left and right, and they're going to get killed.

  • Man, I wish Aaron could have gotten a word in edge-wise. I felt sorry for him always being cut off.

  • ''I am famous. Look at me in this nerd magazine!''

I had to pause the video cause I was laughing so hard! Great show, you guys!

  • Happy birthday Linux

  • needed more aaron this show......

  • Happy Birthday Linux. Add another candle for a recently-converted user like me :D

Chill Brian, I know the feeling of a corporation directly affecting you and your work, profession, etc with a totally dick move. I empathize with you mate.

  • Forking android and getting it to run some nice linux apps seems like the best solution. Fact is I need skype and as much as a hildon+debian distro appeals to me unless i can run a skype chat room its not what i can use on my phone. If you could copy the maemo skype compatibility from maemo that would do but it'll be closed source and a legal problem. There is, i believe, a java ME skype that maybe in beta. Not ideal but might be good enough.

  • FORK Android XD

  • Use blekko it's better than google search engine

  • Good telnet/ssh client: Better Terminal Emulator Pro (BTEP)

  • Just noticed that Bryan Lunduke looks a bit like David Tennant

  • Linux journal is going all digital - catch that?

  • @glowcode I just subscribed last month for two whole years.

    Now, i'm out.

  • As Telnet Client you could try Terminal emulator and use BusyBox telnet Client

  • can't get that thing usenet and nzb.... :S

  • The quality will get better! No one worry! :D

  • A wild 240p appears

    User uses refresh

    Its not very effective!

  • May be first, but not posting "First" =-}

  • 240p?
