  • Video is good specially for beginners; but it is too fast .Audio was essential for better understanding.

  • thanks man, this helped

  • horrible song for that i will have to dislike... although ur tutorial was great!

  • Ugh why the music though... Sounds like noise. I couldn't finish it.

  • @khodges2 Use the thing in your head called "a brain" and press the mute button.

  • Yes, i wont forgot to add comment.

  • Clever studie!!!!!!!!!

  • Is it possible to make an object spin like not rotate but spin?

  • thanks!!! :)

  • holy shit you are a genius

  • this is NEVER odd

  • 1:24 looks like a pad xD great vid

  • when i hide all my edges, it leaves me with a dotted line. do you know why that is or how to change it so that i get rid of them completely, like in your video?

  • @Bags305 it's because the lines are hidden and you have view hidden on. Type it into Google; you'll find your answer.

  • @virgildog1950 you have to go to view and then untick Hidden Geometry

  • nice tut, nice music

  • You can switch to wireframe, select the lines you want to hide, and switch back to shaded face style! Way faster!!!

  • Really? I didn't know that! Thanks!

  • thanks, now I can make pilars

  • what version of Sketchup was this made in?

  • 6.0

  • Easy...

  • only if you know how. Besides, a tutorial is designed to make things easier for one to accomplish.

  • Why does everyone ruin these tutorials with these awful tunes.. they don't help anything...sorry its not about the music. The tutorials are cool, but the tunes we could all do without...

    MtD

  • what's wrong with the music? Sorry, it's just that I'm not sure what you're asking for; less exciting, or more exciting?

  • if you're going to criticize me, then you might as well make it constructive; how else would you have me make my tutorials?

  • This is one of my favorite Tutorials...What did I say? I certainly think your efforts with tutorials have been worth while for you and people lucky to come across them. I cant find the comment in question, I'm normally one that doesn't say anything if there's nothing constructive to say!

I love SU and this video and I don't know what to say except SORRY?!

  • @multidstringtheorist wow, um.. wow! Thanks! I've never heard that before :P

  • @virgildog1950 Great video, good examples of organic modeling. Good video editing too. My only comment is to much music. I've made videos with a music background too. I've had guys making similar comments to me, the loud music is not needed. Anyway, great video.

  • @DavidCousins Sorry, if the music is loud; I certainly didn't intend for it to sound that way.

  • @virgildog1950 I'm sorry, when I made that comment I forgot to include: would you rather no sound? If so, then why not just turn off your speakers, or better yet, the Youtube sound?

  • I also found the soundtrack extremely annoying - have to keep turning sound off and on.

    great tutorial though.

  • @multidstringtheorist Did you know there is such thing as a colume control

  • @cookie123456789012

    No.... What's Colume control?

    MtD

  • helpful, thank you

  • nice

  • some good techniques shown!

    one question:

around 1:55 you deselect all the small surfaces....did you have to individually click each surface?

  • Unfortunately, yes (that;s why i sped it up).

  • You can just hold the control key down whilst using the eraser... give it a try!

    nice vid btw

  • you cant erase them, because you have to hide them; erasing them would destroy the object!

  • Using the eraser whilst holding the control key down = hiding and not erasing.

  • oh! I'm sorry, I didn't realise that holding down the control key changed the function of the eraser tool; thanks, and sorry, XP

  • @hanysar you sound like Wheatley from Portal 2........for some reason.

  • you can use the eraser tool. press Shift when using Eraser to hide, Ctrl, or command key on a Mac to soften. Press both Ctrl ans Shift to harden, or reveal.

  • Woah! I never knew that you could do it that way! Thanks!
