Comparing the celebration of Mardi Gras in the two cities, La Nouvelle Orleans and Lafayette is really apples to oranges. The celebration in La Nouvelle Orleans is much more known and drawn by tourist around the world while the Lafayette celebration is much smaller and calm do to its smaller than La Nouvelle Orleans by the 100,000's of thousands. Both cities are great Louisiane cities and have great culture some aspects of which are very similar from the cajun history i love Louisiane over all
im sorry i went to they mardi grs before and its boring. nothing was happening. new orleans is wayy better. than yalls . but i love mardi gras overall
Great vid, captures the excitment of Courir du Mardi Gras! Would much rather go to Lafayette's Cajun Mardi Gras than the party of N'Awlin's; more family oriented for one thing, not as wild or crazy!! :) (Though the Cajuns CAN get crazy! I know! LOL)

That parade was pretty good, could have fooled me and told me it was in New Orleans, instead it was Lafayette, home of the Rajin Cajuns!
