  • mysterious cute blonde girl who slept on my shoulder on my flight, i dedicate this song to you.

  • I'll always love the classics more. Back when the feeling was still meaningful.

  • Never Heard Presley do this.

  • My Girlfriend says this song sucks . BOO HOO 2 YOU .

  • @shineything4444 you girlfriend shouldn't be listening to songs, she should be in the kitchen making sandwiches

  • @shineything4444 Lol my now ex-girlfriend showed me this band. Still thank her for it xD

  • This song makes me question the crap that is today's music. I have to live with everyone around me listening to bleh while I've got my I-pod listening to Blue Oyster Cult's greatest songs. Oh how I pity my generation that listen to their mediocrity while right behind them was THIS.

  • @mesean1234 there's plenty of good music out there now. don't be so shallow.

  • @mesean1234 I second this times 500.

  • This song is amazing. Very very underrated...

  • Saw them w/Black Sabbath years ago, when Black Sabbath came out w/ "Heaven and Hell, Blue Oyster Cult w/"Cultasousas Erectus. It was dubbed the Black & Blue Concert. Damn! good concert.

  • @skywatcher2400 Man that must have been epic! I envy you, bastard... :P

  • 1 person thinks this needs more cowbell

  • This album was released in 1978 in the summer not 1979. I saw them in concert at The Great Southern Music Hall in Gainesville Florida. I was 12 and it was my 1st concert. I was so loud I could not hear right for 3 days. My left ear still has problems because of that. Great Show but they were never the same after Albert and Joseph Bouchard left the band. Lost chemistry because of it.

  • I love blue oyster cult but listening to it makes me depressed at how gut-renchingly bad most of the music being released today is. I hate that the music associated with my age demographic is so repetitive and uncreative. Every time i turn on the radio it's another pop-song about how much money someone has, or a rap song about how great they are and how much it sucks to be someone else. THIS is music. I don't know what to call that other stuff...

  • Or probably BOC should be remembered as "softmetal" or "heavy-prog".

  • I heard this song today in a Shell gas station. I have not heard it since listening to my brother's Mirrors album back in the early 80's. Great to hear it again and again on youtube.

  • Is it too neurotic to cry whilse listening to this?

  • i played this song with a band of mine for our church service, they had no idea it was a rock song

  • One of there best albums. Would see them when the came to town as Soft White Underbelly at Wolfgangs in San Fransico. Great to see them in such a small venue.

  • If a DJ doesn't have control over what they play, then dncstevens' comment should be redirected to music programmers - or whatever - but it still stands. This is not a personal favourite BOC track of mine but it's a decent commercial rock single that deserved more attention than it got. I bought a second hand vinyl copy of Mirrors a couple of months ago, and neither my housemate or I could understand how we'd never heard this song before.

  • Is it over dramatic to cry while listening to this?

  • @ledzeppelin1199 No, not at all. I've done it.

  • This song was also released on 1998's "Heaven Forbid" as a live track.

  • Fuckin Cool 1983

  • The best song of all time. Thanks for posting.

  • had the 8 track, great to hear it in digital..........underated band and song for sure

  • i think this song was used for a movie as well but im not sure. great song! i admire BOC a lot!!

  • @dncstevens even UFO and Uriah Heep made Perfect radio songs in that times but noone cared...so sad...these are really good songs...

  • next to Jhon Crwaford their best single...great melodic country pop song!

  • I bought a BOC CD a couple years ago, and I only knew Don't Fear the Reaper and Godzilla. But I loved those songs, so I thought I would give the band a try. I listened to the whole thing, and didn't care too much for a lot of their songs. But this song makes me pretty close to tears almost every time I hear it :)

  • Great Song I love it.. but who the heck is Jim??

"Jim says some destinies Should not be delivered"

  • @roddergreg

    Jim Carroll

  • @roddergreg Jim Morrison

  • @ThinCrustPizza67 Jim morrison, Great singer of The Legendary band The doors.now i'm 14 years old, and i'm a Huge fan of the doors, and Blue oyster cult. got a Flag with him on it. on my wall.

Just wanted to Throw in to the conversation..

    -----------

Get on with Life, now when you got it.

    E.Green

  • my favorite band

  • im cryin over hear.

  • @Cory4474 here

  • I heard this song back in 1983 like once or twice. Hearing it again is great. This is certainly one of the greatest songs in classic rock. How the heck does this escape classic rock airplay. I mean, seriously, if you're a dj, do you play "We Built This City" or "In Thee?" And how much airplay did that former Jefferson Whatever piece of something I left in the toilet this morning get airplay? JEEZ. Play THIS song! Thanks for posting it!

  • I couldn't agree more.. this song is as good as Kiss' "Beth" or Peter Frampton "I'm In You," etc.. I'm glad in a way that it hasn't been played to death because it still sounds very fresh to me. Ha!

  • @dncstevens Don't you love that? You hear a song but you never quite get it's name and so and so months or years later when you hear it again it's all the more better!

  • @dncstevens even UFO and Uriah Heep made Perfect radio songs in that times but noone cared...so sad...these are really good songs...

  • @dncstevens If you're a DJ, you play what they tell you to play. Unless you work at a VERY independent station.

  • best concert I was ever at-I seen em when I was 7 yrs old and they opened for Alice Cooper at philadelphia spectrum. I think it was 8 bucks

  • @outlawwolf621 That's awesome, man. :)

  • @outlawwolf621 Wish I was there! BOC + Alice, what a team!

  • Saw Blue Oyster Cult last week at a small venue north of Denver CO. They still have one of the best live shows I have seen although many of the original members have been replaced.

  • Forgot about this song!!! So great!!!

  • 5* used to really love Blue....

    love this song by them......

  • Great acoustic song for street corner money making.
