Steliana had FIRST scores in qualifications.She qualified from the first position in the all around final.Qualifications recommended her as a future world champion and many experts see her in that way!Talking about beijing,she competed with the back supported in an elastic bandage,she made 7 infiltrations and had a fracture in the leg!!!

Well,izbasa seemed to be the new star from romania at first but i think nistor wll soon surpass her.She has outrageously difficult routines plus more confidence.Anyway i do hope to see both of them on top of the world in stuttgart and beijing next year!

izbasa won gold on floor in beijing! but nistor didn't really do anything... bet it came as a bit of a shock for her after the insane overscoring at 07 worlds!

Some romanian gymnastics fans on YT told me nistor had injury problems right before the olympics hence her failure to win an individual medal-i surely wanted her to but then again almost no european gymnast,strangely, shined in this OG.You call that overscoring?how do you call the chinese girl shanshan falling from the beam and winning silver?

nistor has fairly scruffy work, as xuarxu said, shes confident with big skills, but nearly everything she does is untidy. the chinese and typically beautiful on beam, the fall was probably her only real error, but nistor has many .1 and .3 deductions which eventually mount up. i still think its pretty incredible what she does though

It's not really a shock that Nistor didn't get an individual medal in Beijing. Nistor got a silver in 2007 because so many gymnasts behind her fell (including Barbosa and Ferrari in 3rd, as well as Liukin in 5th). Her difficulty, combined with the fact that she didn't fall, made her win silver in spite of her bad form. In Beijing, gymnasts performed stronger with fewer falls and Nistor's bad form finally got to her.
