  • Nice picking Tony!.

  • some of us just want to listen to the amazing music these brilliant musicians continue to make these 50 years on!!! i for one am SO GLAD Tony Hicks is FINALLY getting to show the world just how friggin' talented he is! every other member of this band - to a man - is first class, top of the heap huge talent. peter is a fantastic singer and this band continues to amaze and delight! play on, HOLLIES! - thnx, Mod - kc

  • The Tony and Bobby band-it just is a far far cry from The Real Hollies..

  • no clark----no hollies !!!

  • @plonker00765 ... Horseshit. This is strong line-up of musical pros. Clarke is great, but he's not God. They're packing in audiences all around the Globe that would totally disagree with you. If Clarke were that important, there'd be no Hollies making a solid living performing the group legacy to appreciative fans everywhere. Better group with him? I'd prefer it. Not The Hollies without him? The facts don't support it.

  • @bobbilse who said he was god? they are pros' i don't dissagree with you there, but replacing clarke in the hollies would be a bit like replacing jagger in the stones, they are both unique to their bands, irriplaceable and have a sound all their own, i daresay if the stones ever replaced jagger the crowds would still rock up to see them,

wouldn't be the stones though, you're right the new hollies singer is horseshit.

  • @plonker00765 ... Groups change personnel - it's as natural as rainfall - and, after a few hits, they become a "franchise" (the words of Journey's Jonathan Cain), the Stones and Beatles being amongst very few exceptions. One could say the Doobie Bros. were no longer the Doobies with only Pat Simmons from the original group, but you'd get plenty of disagreement from those who made the Michael McDonald version a multi-platinum line-up. Intact original groups are rarities, but new line-ups thrive.

  • @plonker00765 ... They HAD to replace Clarke - he quit! He quit in '71, and they marched on without him, as they're doing now. This new gentleman is NOT horseshit - he's doing the job he was hired to do, helping to keep The Hollies franchise successfully on the road. At the end of the day, they're doing bloody well without the approval of the ofttimes-hemorrhoidal YouTube gestalt.

The negative comments you make about others often tend to reflect more upon you than your target.

  • @bobbilse i do hope that your diatribe is apliccable to yourself you hypochrite, but it doesn't change the fact that the hollies are not as good without clarke.

  • And I saw them in Brum just two weeks - keep a look out for them - as good as ever

  • Thanks for posting these wonderful live clips of the Hollies at the London Palladium, sadly living in Australia I'm unable to see the band live so this helps fill the void, many thanks
