Would you know a place on the internet where you can find out the schedule for freight trains in the Tempe/Mesa area? I am usually only able to video trains when I am outside and I can hear them far enough away in distance that I can walk or drive to the train track.
This video came about from luck more than any planning. I just happened to have my camera, I was walking around Tempe, and the train was coming as I was crossing the tracks.
Wow. How were you able to lie still while that huge, heavy train was going over you? Joking. That is REALLY cool. How did you keep the camera stationary?

I had the back of the camera wedged against one of the ties, and some rocks placed against the front of it.
If you watch close, the camera does shift slightly each time the wheels of the cars pass over.
