  • Fuckin hack. Go back to eating fried chicken you dumb fuck

  • TIP : grip and rip

avg golfer grips way to tight on a scale of one to ten you should have a 5

avg golfer tries to kill a ball even when you think you aren't ..

try softer grip and hit a club not worrying if it goes 10 yards (it will shock you how far it goes and you will have to rethink your whole and club distances will improve greatly , ,its a tempo swing all the way through , no power just speed (trick is getting speed without using arms , its not a power baseball swing lol

  • i think all golfers should have a number on their backs when playing

  • that was an absolutley atrocious vid.

  • you are such a dumbass

  • It works for me too but I loose so much power because of the 2 forces working against each other (the slice and the closed face to counter the slice)

  • You guys should try to follow what he is doing! Experiment with different things in your stance or grip , u just might find something that can help u hit it better!

  • you could just strengthen your grip.

  • @dschultz6072 dont u usually want a light grip.

  • @TheCavalierairsoft i mean turn it to the right side of the handle a little more.

  • If i paid to get a lesson and that was given advise i would hit the trainer with my club. Some draw bias drivers are set 1 degree inwards but your taking the piss with about 20 degrees. Its best to work on your swing and hit a club as it was ment to be hit

  • Wow it's closed face

  • Oh my god you are a genius!!!

  • Well... there is a simple explanation for why your technique works... if your club face actually made contact with a closed face to that degree, your drives would have an extreme draw or hook... The reason its going straighter is simply because by closing the face of the club, you are now making contact with the ball with a flush face whereas prior you were making contact with an open face. Anyway, glad you figured it out ! Have fun out there !

  • Don't you think that if that were something that was good, that the manufacturers would know that and make the heads that way? They make the head sit a certain way at address for a reason. That being said, everyone swings differently so you sometimes have to find little tricks like this to help your game.

  • This tip will not work for everyone. It works for your swing but won't necessarily work for others, as far as becoming an instructor don't kid yourself. I don't mean that in a nasty way.

  • bad form, but great drive

  • wtf

  • Give this guy a break. He didn't claim to be a friggin PGAer. Tiger Woods once said the best tip is to do whatever helps your game. If he hits the ball straight 90% of the time with this method, who gives a rat whether it's textbook or not?

  • @pezzonovante99 Dude, he's saying he wants to become an instructor!! He needs a reality check!

  • newb

  • I first want to say that I'm trying to be a golf instructor. I'm an amateur golfer that one day came across a way to hit the golf ball straighter. My golf swing may not look so great but the good thing for me is that when I curve my driver club face in, it really helps me to hit the ball straighter. The reason that I made this video is that I wanted to share this tip with other golfers and I hope that my tip could help someone else with hitting the ball straighter with their driver club.

  • @IncomingSuccess

Great find! I do the same thing. What you are creating is right to left spin on the golf ball which in turns will cause the ball to move right to left (draw) or straight. This will happen every time you place the flat edge of the club face in contact with the outer edge of the golf ball. Do the opposite to create left to right spin or fade. Hence, you are RIGHT! Do not change it.

  • I want to apologize to anyone that reads the first line of the sentence. I meant to say that I'm NOT trying to be a golf instructor. I repeat I'm not a golf instructor, I'm an amateur golfer. All that I can is that when I turn my driver club face in a little bit like I show in the video, I don't know why but this little change enables me to drive the golf ball straighter. The only reason that I made this video is because I thought maybe this may work for other golfers as well.

  • your golf swing is ugly as hell....I wouldn't be putting it on youtube if I were you...If it works for you, great...but, it's got flaws up the Ying Yang...being too far bent over is one and having you arms straight with no wrist angle is the other obvious one....like Scottydog91 said, you're correcting your slice with another fix, closing the club face down....myself and others are only being so critical because this shouldn't be a golf tip on what to do....you're not good enough to be teaching

  • you trying to cure a bad habit with another bad habit, your best option is to find why youre slicing and fx that.

  • benderrrr

  • paedophile much?

  • You could just buy an offset driver(draw)> Would make things easier> Eventually you will have to correct your swing in order to manipulate the ball> My advice would be to fix your swing as soon as possible>Because the longer you wait the harder it is going to be to make a change

  • haha that driving range is right by my house. inman driving range i believe lol

  • some how you are compensating for something wrong in your swing, bottomline you must be square at impact. That swing is not going to get you much distance, there is no transition, its one plane back and fourth using your arm speed. Think of Freddy Couples, takes it back and then drops it in the slot and he is smooth and very long.

  • Five start for you to share your tips. One start to your photographer. Shaking hands.

  • If your swing is incorrect, even with a closed face, you are still going to slice the ball ... not sure how you managed to hit it straight. Can you slice a basketball?

  • Very interesting video. I have a buddy sets up with a closed face as well and hits is fine. Thanks.

  • This "tip" would only work if everyone's swing looks like yours, which thankfully they don't. Without your mega-closed club face at address you would slice it like a mad man. At least you've found an answer :)

  • If your swing was better, you probably wouldn't have to close the club face so much. Disclaimer: I say this as a beginner still trying to learn to straighten out my drives. I think it's the straight left arm, wrist, and club at impact that make the difference...still learning. But true enough...if you're hitting straight and enjoying the game, who cares?!?!

  • good for you man, as long as it goes striaight, keep doing it!

  • the only reason why that strategy works is because your swing looks like crap sorry

  • fuckin scrub

  • NBAall the way, who care if it is a black man. There is nothing wrong with that. If you are racially discriminating this man because of his skin color, then u need to wake up from the 50s and 60s and turn ur self in to the police(kkk). What makes u so perfect and him not. And he can prolly smoke ur racist ass in a match of golf anyways. I kno I can

  • Your right on with this.Try this to understand more about why this works. While taking your grip above the T at waist high toe it in and then take your normal grip.Put the clubhead down and you will see it is square. The Reason:It is allowed to swing on the intended inside to square arc on a A Circle. also keeps the club face from opening at impact which at 90-100mph it will always do with out prep for it.There is also somewhat of an optical ilusion happening when dealing w striaght line and Crcl.

  • "there are only two things in life that man can be bad at and still love, golf and sex." just sayin....

  • u kinda fell back on ur swing... im sure u probably dont care tho cuz i hate when people critisise my swing and im sure u probably do to

  • ahhhh its a black man

  • FAT FUCK

  • @cactuskid007 who are you calling a fat fuck if its the man on this vid why would you say that first of he is not fat second he said or did nothing to you

  • @bayawolf1 WHO ATE ALL THE PIE'S HAHAHAHAHA

  • cool video. it is strange. I do the same thiing but I tilt my clubface so the actual face is facing slightly upward. it helps me make more solid contact and also gets it straighter. it's weird how one little thing at set up changes the ball flight that much

  • Thank you for the compliment, my swing is not the greatest but when I turn my driver face in like I show in the video. This simple adjustment made me hit the ball so much straighter than ever before. I hope people will try it and see if it helps them hit em straight as well !!

  • totally awesome..

the swing isnt to shabby either.

  • i think u have a reverse pivot oh the back swing and you finished your down swing with your weight on your right foot ...It was a pretty good hit though.....

  • im a banana

  • if that works then do it, but it sure is ugly to watch. Not quite as bad a C. Barkleys swing, but close.

  • Horrible style...

  • also like josiah said, your tee'd up to far back. that's good for irons but not for a driver.

tee the ball forward in your stance just inside of your forward foot, begin your down swing by slowly shifting your weight forward, swing on a flatter plane while maintaining your posture, and you'll smash it pure straight with little effort.

  • the reason turning the club face in helps you is because you probably slice the ball a lot. your swing plane is super high. your swinging a driver not an iron. your driver needs to be on a much flatter plane which in turn allows the club face to close much quicker. on your down swing you bring the club down from behind your head when it should be coming from behind your shoulders. it's almost a 90 degree swing plane when it should be more like 60 degrees. flatten your swing plane.

  • The only reason you are hitting it straighter when you angle the club face toward you is because you are opening your club face on the down swing. Your applying a quick fix to a flawed swing. You should work on a proper swing with proper club positioning to work out the slice. Search for "strong and weak grips" on google, my bet is you are using too weak of a grip which is causing a bad slice when you align the club face up properly. Good luck and happy golfing

  • haha thats cause u played the ball in the middle of ur stance haha

  • Your club was way to back, ur stance was bad, plus that went to the right so it was a push or a slice lol

  • I know that my stance may not look right but this is how I stand when I tee off. The good thing is that I'm driving the ball straighter than I have ever been able to !! To me this is all that matters and hopefully it will help you and other golfers with driving the ball.

  • awesome go with what works i say, i use the same technique sometimes. There's no right or wrong, if your hitting it straighter and longer. If i could smash it like Happy Gilmore i would use that. I just find it funny all these smart asses looking up driver tips on youtube and criticising and preaching like they are some pro players. Hahaha must make them feel good or something. Appreciate your vid

  • You don't have to look up golf tips or be a pro to see what is wrong with the swing. But yeah, go with what works.

  • @kdorthom a 13 yr old with correct golf swing could hit farther than the strongest man alive using a non correct golf swing (use what works but as your skill increases you might wanna try the correct swing

  • @speedmagnet24 completely true

  • @IncomingSuccess your a legend man, i was trying to find out how to hit the ball straight every time, and you found it out for me, thank you, make some more videos please

  • @kingwesal It was a straight shot, it didnt go to the right, you are wrong

  • nice ill try

  • poor stance
