hey! im from sweden and I might travel to the US again next summer to san francisco! if I pay you and your friend would you take me up there? (I won't jump I promise :p)
I've been on the south tower, too - it's really cool up there as well. One of my buddies got to go up on the south tower during fleet week a couple of years ago and watched the blue angels fly passed lower than the top of the tower - said it was unbelievable!!
flip i missed going up to the top. i thought only workers were allowed up. so now i get to know the public can go up - is that correct because maybe sometime again in the future i would do it . i visited from ireland oh well
Yup, it's a tiny elevator that takes you almost to the top. You have to climb a section or two of ladders then you come out of this hatch and on to the very top. I'm looking forward to doing it again -- next time on the South Tower.
I don't work on the bridge. I have a a friend who's worked there for many years and takes people up, when he can. He said he's had to deal with Jumpers now and again.

That's one amazing view of the city. If I was to go up there, I'd probably be scared shitless since I'm afraid of heights.

I didn't know there was an elevator, I thought workers had to walk up the cables.

I thought after 911 they would not let anybody do this. When did you do this?

It was July of '06. My freind has worked for the GGB district for 30 years and takes his family and friends up there pretty often.

Isn't that where James Bond had a fight in A View to a Kill, and the villain fell off it?
