The culprits who leaked the memo and who directed reporters to attack Obama instead of Clinton all work for the PM and his political party. Those doing the investigation are the PM's own people.

there is a difference between "not entirely accurate" and "not true." So, yes, Obama's campaign didn't reach out, the Canadians came to them for reassurances. And they got those assurances from his chief economic adviser. Kind of like if I get accused of selling 4 kilos of cocaine in Phoenix, but the truth is I sold 5 kilos in Flagstaff.
