cont'd. Remember my mum telling me there used to be a Florist shop there, i.e. amongst the shops at street level. Florist must have been pre-1960 though. Anything among your pictures of the "Foot Of The Road?"
Ahaaa...please do, really brings back memories. When you see it now, its difficult to picture the "old" Glasgow Rd with the shops, tenements etc. Though when I was a wee girl (1960's) it was pretty run down & crummy. I have a vivid memory of the bottom of Kilbowie Rd - the bus stop (for heading "up the hill") was near a Chinese Take Away, just along from the pub on the corner. On the tenement wall opposite the bus stop was a huge (formerly neon lit) sign saying "Say It With Flowers."

Too short! *lol*
Well, at least the lamp post is in roughly the same place...
Memories brought back again, Tausney's Cycles Shop, Connolly's Bar...*sigh* Nostalgia City!

@rosebud2004 It was a challenge from someone on 'Call Yersel A Bankie' on Facebook. I might extend it if I get the time...
