  • he do sound like the man off joy ride

  • these vids are crap, you can give some one a false sense of security with a little bit of crap knowledge,

  • candycane???? lol

  • In most states you have to do more than identify the part, you also have to list why/what you are looking for. Some parts were , some werent

  • Hey nice looking altenator buddy, maybe your special altenator is the aircon compressor

  • good info lot to remember.

  • Wow, this video shows the difference in truck driving courses. I did Troops 2 Truckers on Camp Pendleton, and I can say it's way more thorough and concise when we do our pre-trips- not cracked bent or broken, worn torn or frayed- for example.

  • Go to Grays Harbor College CDL inspection part 1 and part 2

  • watch a better pretrip at GHC pretrip inspec part 1 and part 2

  • And when you pointed to "air compressor governor" that was wrong too, that was actually water pump for windshield washer fluid.I have Mack truck...+water pump is not where you pointed it is actually in the middle of engine where main belt goes around.

  • And when you pointed to "air compressor governor" that was wrong too, that was actually water pump for windshield washer fluid.I have Mack truck...

  • thax for doing this vid. im a woman who wants to be a truck driver and nobody thinks i'm serious so they wont show me what i need to get going so i jiust wanted to say thanks so much

  • @1mscece me too im determined to get it before the month is over but maybe i need more time. no rush im just excited about it.

  • Just like I do my PTI check - by the book!!!

  • I am going through truck driving school now. I go get tested next week! HELL YEAH!

    Thanks this vid does help!

  • Thanks for posting your training, i think, it will help me to pass tests.

  • If you want to get a CDL License And get it fast, then stop by this page and you will get it quickly. w.w.w CDL4DVD com

    Don't forget the dots

  • I been driving trucks 4 years, and sitting in the truck stops watching each driver leave in the morning, not a single one does a pre-trip inspection. The most i usually see drivers do is check their fluids when they get fuel. They lie about doing inspections. Im searching this on youtube before i clean forgot and became lazy myself, but thats all about to change.

  • um that wasn't the alternator at 1:24 that was the AC compressor. hence the R134 fitting on the line directly above your finger.

  • please, please, make a COLA video. we'd all be very grateful! thanx. (good video by the way)

  • honestly i was more intersted on wat the people on the background where talking about

  • GOD!! u make it sound so boring give it some energy

  • Stupid!!

  • there something wrong with the audio? sounds bad

  • Youtube Video "So In Love" HD Video Copyrighted and Produced by R&D International This movie is a tribute to all of the good truck drivers out there it is also a demonstration of the Transportation Industry utilizing multimedia in order to present their services in a dynamic manner reaching a larger and diversified segment of the job market.

  • were is this place at? I would love to earn my CDL.

  • Thats Daly's driving school in GA.

  • dont go to tmc

  • diden't sound very sure of himself and never seen a pretrip the dident involve getting in or under the truck lol

  • He is a student.

  • I also knew I was going to like you when I saw the Ron Paul sticker. I'm in driving school myself. Worrying about this damn pretrip, and all the auto fails Indiana has. Great vid. Keep it up, trucka

  • you pointed out some good things. that 7 step brake test is crucial when testing for the actual cdl. i'm still learning too, there defientley is a lot to absorb

  • I am also in truck driving school and Monday will be my first of actual driving. This pre-trip inspection has me more nervous than the actual driving. We have to know and check every part for the CDL test. I think I was told that there are 108 items. Good video!

  • 23 items, 108, i'm nervous, i dont know waht to do!!! Do you want a real easy one??? If yes go at 9min22 we will talk!!! lol

  • dont be nervous. it will hammered into your brain youll do fine

  • Actually, I graduated with a CDL last week. I was nervous that morning and the tester told me that the pre-trip was the easiest part. I breezed through it and the rest of the test. Now, I just need to keep trying to find some work...

  • Has anyone heard of Schedule 1 pertaining to pretrips. It only consists of 23 items.

  • When straight backing, put your hand at the six o'clock position,if you want to see more of the driver side trailer turn the wheel gradually towards the driver side of the truck. If u want to c the passenger side turn towards passenger side.

  • Cool vid. thank's

  • Saw that Ron Paul sticker and I like you already!

  • i cant watch this video

    great vid FV

  • don't forget your document box on the front of the trailer..make sure the paperwork is in order...or the boss will lean on ya... good video

  • thank for the video. Ill be taking my test soon allthe help that I can get is woderful

  • when you pointed to that one thing and called it the alternator that was really the air conditioning compressor. Just thought i would tel you know

  • Yea! I caught that too, but decided to keep in in there for the kicks I would get. It's been amusing. LOL!

  • did you catch the air to air exchanger ....radiator is be hind that hoses that go from turbo to the thing in front of radiator the hoses from the block and water pump go to the radiator ...fyi keep up the good work keep learning when you get out here. ;)

  • @mybigbearron got a question,i have been driving a truck for some time and let my cdl expire so now i have to reo my testing,i failed my pre trip i didn't mention the fifth wheel apron and i was never taught about the apron i know about the fifth wheel but what the hell is the apron?thanks!

  • foo u got the same voice from the trucker in the movie joy ride

  • in all honesty....be lucky youre taking the test wherever you are....this pre-trip is NOTHING compared to the one i have to do....my pre-trip inspection guide is 7 pages long and that is not even counting the air-brake test!!!

  • hooooly shit dude where did you take your test?

  • I know very few people thats passed the pre-trip on the first try. it took me twice.

  • 4 pages? Is that all? We have 14 pages of pre-trip here in Mass. I should have gotten my license where you are, maybe then I would have passed it the first time instead of the second time. LOL. Oh well, I always find a better way after its too late. Keep the rubber side down .

  • yeah im in mass....my pre-trip is 7 pages long and my instructor said its the "super short" version....how bad was your air brake test? and where are you from if you dont mind me asking and what school are you attending?

  • now be sure to make a order of things like axles and brakes, they are repititious but you lose points on silly stuff like checking all tires psi also remember to check the tractor

tail lights often over looked when a trailor is present

  • Well I hope that you passed your test. BTW, the thing that you pointed to in the video and called a alternator was in fact your AC compressor. So make sure that you check your Alt. and make sure the belt is good and the cable is tight.

  • 770?? i think that place is fairly close to me

  • yeah its in Ga, out pass covingtion! i found the place online

  • lol thnx man , im gonna b a trucker l8ter, so this is a big help, dont know HOW ill remeber everthing!! thnx 4 posting over and out.

  • You are very welcome! I'm convinced that going around a real truck and doing the actually inspection over and over and over... again with study buddies / classmates was the biggest help for me. It was my pleasure to post the video. Good luck!

  • I fail my first attempt in pre inspection because I forget the word level. I say that this is where I check my engine oil( level). Then I also ignored to say that my alternator belt has excessive wear. Then I did not notice that my driver side mirror is not clean. That my luggage compartment is securely closed.

I learned from that mistake so I got my Class A now here in California. Thank you Mr.mybigbearron

  • Failure can be humiliating, but sometimes we learn better when we make some mistakes. Congratulations to you! I wish you the very best.

  • u are the man thanks a lot i learn the pre-trips

  • the pleasure was mine! good luck with your venture!

  • This video is very helpful. I will be starting school in a few weeks. This kinda helps to be a little prepared.

  • My pleasure! Invite your classmates to watch too. Hope it's helpful! All the best to you!

  • All I have to say by the look of these pre-trips in other states, California has the toughest pre-trip.

  • Oh later on he corrects himself, sorry.

  • Hahaha that's not the alternator. Wow moron!!!

  • thanx got a test on the 1st

  • Awesome! thanks.

  • gayyy b000ring

  • Nice job, well done. But do they tell you about POD-Leaks, or Blow-back on the dash buttons and what happens there. Do they tell you about what happens if youbreak the Service Lne will you know right away or what if you tear the Emergency Line off or if it falls off when your at highway speed and a full load...

  • Our instructors covered those matters emphatically. Not only that, but my current trainer has done the same.

  • cool thanks

  • Excellent video, you explained it very well. Keep up the good work!

  • Arron, great video very help I am sure for most the the men and women coming in and interested in transportation. Thank you for posting.

  • what a wealth of information! I have two more weeks of school, already passed the written state test and ready for the pre-trip thanks again!!!

  • hey thks , I am going to National Tractor Trailer school in Liverpool NY from Feb 18 2 June 18 ya videos r really preping me up

  • You called the A/C Comperessor the alternator!!!

  • yep, got to make sure that the semi is in good condition. for safety... but no matter how good it all looks. its the driver to keep it on the road. *me having grew up on a diesel and i have seen a guy smashed up against the dash, among other deaths* so good driving habbits is much more important then a good running vehical. i dont know why these companies cant figure that out.

  • Great Video!! Thanks a ton for posting this. I feel like you're giving me a head start with my schooling.

  • thanks for the video ..I plan on getting my CDL some time this year. How much did your class cost ?

  • about $3500. I've seen it cost more. I've seen it cost less. Many technical schools offer such courses too.

  • check with some of the companies. many will pay your tuition after a year's service. others will train you for free if you sign up for a specified period of time.

  • Good to see you around Roland, How is life?

  • Given your background of inspection, Ron, you will do quite well with handling the tasks of being a truck driver! - From what I've always heard, truck driving takes a lot of manpower.

  • You may find yourself checking your car nearly every time you go out now too. I still do, many years after doing "rig check" back in my ambulance days, and certainly daily when I'm on the road pulling a little pop-up. (Which, btw, is a lot more squirrely backing up than a big trailer!) Thanks for the updates Ron.

  • my friend, you pointed to the air conditioner compressor and called it an alternator. you can delete this comment if you wish. But I'm just trying to help your learning curve.

  • Thank you so much! I realized that I made a mistake about that when I got to the other side of the truck. I'm grateful for the correction. Again, thanks!

  • I realized I had made a mistake a few seconds after I typed the message!!! I should make comments AFTER videos are finished!

In My opinion, you seem to be coming along nicely.

  • Gosh! Those backing up maneuvers are challenging! It's been fun, but I surely do need more practice!

    Thanks for your inputs!

  • My tip is..to do straight line backing, turn the steering to the side where you see the most trailer.

  • Exactly.

  • I like parallel parking. it's a real trick.

  • Sounds like you're learning a lot! Certainly impressed me.

  • I agree.

  • ROFL! Oh, I do love your name!

  • Hey you. Thanks for the compliment. I love it as well. Over the years this is the mentaility I've taken on.
