My friend has one of these trucks, and he keeps chewing up spur gears. Everything is bone stock, any ideas!?

Erm, i dont know much about the chassis layout of that truck but stripping spurs eh? it could be that your engine has moved causing it to have a tight or too loose gear mesh. or your slipper clutch could too tight or too loose causing it to heatup and make the spurs weaker. Or you could have a cracked engine mount which makes it not mesh properly between the spur and cluth bell.

To check the Correct slipper setting, lock the drivetrain, so that the spur wont turn then you should be jjust able

my car does that too.. and rc guy at a store told me that the problem is ur cars power. its too strong. so i think u shud make it so more fuel goes to the engine. turn the screw that sticks up right where the fuel line connects clockwise a bit

yes, every nitro engine must warm up to its operating temp before thrashing it, its not that good for it if you dont let it

To check the Correct slipper setting, lock the drivetrain, so that the spur wont turn then you should be just able to turn the spu gear with alot of force, so it slips on the slipper clutch.

Is ur friend using plastic spur gears? if he is it might be a good idea to use hardend steel its expenciver but will last longer... i hope this helps
