it doesnt do well with crowds mainly because people usually acts like a smart-ass, before even seeing the movie, or by just seeing the trailer, they assume that they already knew the whole movie. But hey I'm one of them, when my buddy tell me about this movie, I thought, wow this must be one of those crappy superhero shitty movie, I laughed at the dvd cover, and I make fun of my friend. But after I watched the movie, heh, I froze in silence, and start clapping by myself. Best movie ever.

Also, I've never read the Kick Ass comics, so despite what that 'Ted Alexander' said, I still regard Kick Ass as one of the best films in 2010. I would easily give it a 9 or a 10. Brilliant film.

@snika999 The remake of Clash of the Titans is awful. They turn a great classic Fantasy film into a rip-off of God of War (they even have the balls to make a videogame from it!) and a motherfucking CGI popcorn movie. I hate how the actors and the producers bitch the original calling it "boring".

What you failed to mention was that this film had a 30 million dollar budget, peanuts compared to most action flicks. It also hit number 1 At US theatres, so you couldn't of been more wrong in your cynical assumption that it wouldn't do too well. As for Hit-girl swearing...So fucking what? She's been on the run from the mob since she was a baby and her dad is a mentally unbalanced anti-hero who blows people to pieces. Should she just shout "GOLLY!" when she sees people killed? My favorite movie this year. It was awesome. Some of my favorite movies are movies that really make you think (Memento, Citizen Kane), but this was one of the most fun movies I've experienced in a long time. It doesn't bother me that the little girl was kinda like Kratos from God of War in how she acted, because in an interview she said she'd never say those things at home. Great action scenes in this movie.

I loved kick ass and i agree that you would know the movie is violant so you don't have to watch it. i dont think it matters that kick ass was more of a supporting charictor towards the end because you realise the reality of that he is a kid and the world is more dangerous then a kid could handle, this just makes the movie less violant. I also think that this makes the movie different to the usual comic book type movies like spiderman. I am not a comicbook fan and i give this movie a 10/10!
