I like playing Scandinavians cause of the beserker and the mostly i choose Civs that have cool looking buildings.

@thedogatemyhomework8 Does YOUR AI declare war on you for the crime of being in first place? Does it settle on resources it shouldn't be able to see yet? Does it spawn extra units off the map that you have no way to predict or stop?

If so, you're playing Civilization 3. It's just like Civilization 2, but clunkier.

The only unit i find worthless is the stealth fighter. It cant defend cities and its bombardment is so weak, it mostly fails. Other than using them as Recon units, they are good for nothing.

LoL. I have never seen that happen in my games. I play Reagent cause they will cheat after that dificulty. But they are always fighting each other and deplete their units. I guess im a good diplomat. I love America because of the F-15. Powerfull air unit that unlike the regular yet, it will have both Deadly land and sea bombardments and will protect your cities aswell.

i choose nations based on their unique unit... i like englands (Man-o-war) and germanys. (panzer) americas (F-15) is okay, only way it is different is that it can do precision strikes than the regular jet fighter.

To bad you play on a mac I know most mods that mad civ3 better then civ4 in graphics and depth are only PC playable . I own both games and can say easily the work that took only 4 years n thousands of man hours to refine(civ3 .5) is much better. (Balancer Reloaded/ FAr Horizons are two that come to mind for epic mod. Middle age mod and anno domini are others that focus on the fun eras but make them 4 tech screens instead of 1. Civ4 mods alaways crash as they stress an already taxed system

True I upgraded civ3 adding pro mod design to cure previos game ailmetent. THings like jail to lower corrpution or INterpol as a third Forbidden palace 1st come 1st serve. park n sewrs pollution killers! aswell as cultrual diverity ( Tigertank, plus every unit that ever saw war and 400 more.) Go so strong and break the roof past modern days and into post modern before you times up . then you play with post mod weopons that seem real THis is BAlancer reloaded for civ3.about a day to d-load

No im actually able to run Tiger on it and I can't even boot into classic if i wanted to im not sure why. It sucks though-im thinking of upgrading the ram from 384 to 768 (256+512). Do you have civ IV for mac by any chance?
