Actually itchy spoofing used to be a form of flattery and approval. If weird al spoofed your song in the 90s it was an honor. Spoofing videos is much the same thing. Are you looking for video of us chanting while doing something boring that we do on weekend nights? OR Just pictures of our faces?
For everybody that hates Katy Perry as much as I do, the "TGIF" chanting starts at 2:45 in the link above and lasts for 15 seconds or so. Also, if you don't want YT to use your watching of the video as a basis for your future recommended videos (AND if you're using Google Chrome as your browser), right click the link and select "open link in incognito window".
@ItchyKneeSon To answer your question, we're looking for people to chant "TGIF" from their computers- the angle your webcam would pick up if you were seated directly in front. But really though, if you hate Katy Perry THAT much, why waste your time? No reason to inconvenience yourself.
@amyfilms Now, I see. The directions aren't too clear in the video, so I thought I'd ask.
About me taking the time to participate, this video's a spoof, right? The whole idea behind a spoof is to mock that which is being spoofed. So, my participation in a Katy Perry spoof, if that's what you really want to do, would actually be representative of my dislike for her. I guess I don't hate Katy Perry as much as I hate the idea of her as a marketing package (along with most other pop stars). :)
@ItchyKneeSon What we're mocking is the idea behind the original video (she goes out, while we stay in- we're mocking our own lameness...lol). It's not really meant to be a dig at pop music. I think you would be hard-pressed to find a genre of music that isn't a pre-packaged product on some level. There's plenty of conformity in non-conformity. ;-) But I can appreciate where you're coming from.
I hope you like my clip. Ace should have forwarded it onto you!
