  • nice and well done!

  • tahini is the answer..............makes it 100% better

  • Tahini does NOT smell like dirt! It is a nut butter made out of sesame seeds. Tahini smells like sesame seeds. It has a good flavor when added to other foods. By it self it is a bit bitter, but I mix it with honey and spread it on bread, and it is fantastic! I add lots of different flavors to my humus. I especially really to add like fried onions, & peppers, but sometimes it's old bay, oregano, & basil instead of the Indian spices! Add anything you like, humus makes a good sandwich spread too!

  • Actually, I thought tahini smells and taste just like peanut butter that might have been made with peanuts that were just a little green. I have seen hummas made with peanutbutter as a substitue for tahini, as tahini is not often readly available at grocery stores.

  • Billy~What did you garnish it with; on top of the hummus? The green possibly looked like chives... but what was the red?

  • @Thankful4Grace Probably paprika, or smoked paprika, could be chili powder too. Most likely it was paprika.
