  • Jesus wasnt born december 25th!

  • Jesus certainly wasn't looking forward to easter.. HAHAHAH - that's just one I had to pick but the video is full of hilarious moments.

  • I love how he describes the birth of Jesus Christ as "She ad the kid"

  • I love Karl! Hes hilarious!

  • 'Im gonna have this kid in a bit' hahaha

  • tiny tim, go and get a chicken

  • God i love Karl lmao! :D xxx

  • its like a father trying to remind his 7 year old child of the story

  • @KyrisTV show me the funny

  • "there was a star involved" love that

  • Ricky Gervais said it, so it must be funny, stop being sheep. its not. watch secret policemans ball for real comedy talent

  • @greenjack1959l karl was the one being funny here, ricky was hardly saying anything you daft bastard...

  • wheres the funny? got cut off before the punchline

  • I wish I knew karl. Would be great to constantly talk to him. Ricky, you are truly lucky.

  • Tiny Tim, go and get a chicken. That's it.

  • "brilliant... scavenging..eating out of bins....."

  • " baby Jesus was born.... that's it ". The story of Christmas.

  • i never get tired of these guys. the combination of karl's musings and ricky's laugh are like nothing else on earth.

  • More classic stuff as Karl describes Christmas to Ricky !!

  • witches...bunch of CONGRESS TARTS

  • she was knocking about with there men at the time hahahahha legend !

  • Tiny Tim, go and get a chicken!

  • fucking hell at the comments from months ago

  • Ricky sent me here from the future.

  • Totally agree Karl

  • "Christmas: I could do without it" Perfect salesman!!

  • karl looks worried of ricky lol

  • Whenever you listen to Karl, you obviously laugh, but he ALWAYS seems to know what was said. For example, Mary and Joseph...

"She's like, "I'm gonna have this kid in a bit, sort somewhere out."

    "He says, "We're gonna struggle."

Comedy gold. Millions of youtube videos out there and I always come back to Ricky, Steve and Karl.

  • Ricky Gervais and Robin Williams are the funniest comedians not only what comes out of their mouths, but their LAUGH is HILARIOUS! Who cares what they say, we all hang on to hear them burst out laughing at some point and then we near piss ourselves from their laughing... he he. Does anyone else notice that? PEACE. Karl's head is amazing.

  • I always seem to find myself agreeing with Karl. Should I be worried?

  • @TinySpark37 I do the same thing! Are we very stupid so we're on his level or extremely smart so that we get everything? o.O

  • @akemikat They are having an honest discussion which is why Ricky always has to remind stupid people that Karl is not a invented character. The comedy comes from Karl because he is so endearing. I'm just pointing out that a obvious point and that is Christmas means a lot to children even though it can be a shallow/ cynical experience for the rest of us. Saying Ricky is a atheist is like telling me there is sand on a beach, a bear shits in the woods and Karl has a head like a fucking orange.

  • It just shows that these two men do not have children, and although arguably Christmas is more hassle with them it is also a very special time at that age. Who remembers the jehovah witness kid at school? Poor little fella! I'm thankful my parents were not religious nuts and let us celebrate xmas taking the whole Jesus thing with a pinch of salt.

  • @martellitube You do realise they're taking the piss? Ricki Gervais is an atheist.

  • KARL PILKINGTON FOR CHRISTMAS NUMBER 1!

    AKA

AN IDIOT AT NUMBER 1 THIS CHRISTMAS!

FACEBOOK CAMPAIGN STARTED! CHECK MY CHANNEL FOR LINKS AND DETAILS! LETS DO THIS!!

  • Karl needs his own show

  • @cheesypoohalo he has his own show. it's called an idiot abroad

  • "tiny tim go and get a chicken"

  • "imagine if I bothered writing this" - GOLD 2:26

  • "People think this is scripted. Imagine if I'd bothered writing this". Fair point.

This ain't Ricky & Karls best, but it's still way funnier than 99% of all the other over-rehearsed watered down dross that fills the TV schedules this time of year.

I think Karl missed Rickys observation late on in the sketch that "Jesus certainly wasn't looking forward to Easter", if he'd noticed that he'd almost have smiled...

  • was she knocking about with the 3 fellas at that point??? LMFAO

  • its like he's teaching a child

  • Love the end, totally lost it. Ricky has the best laugh =D

  • I heard this joke on on their HBO video podcasts also.

brilliant to see them act it out again ..... in person.

  • "I don't need an old story."

Karl may appear to be an idiot sometimes, but he does speak the truth a lot.

  • @dfgh123gh haha ye, just don't be the one that's gotta cook or clean up xD

  • tiny tim go and get a chicken..

  • lol "jesus certainly wasn't looking forward to easter"

  • Pause at 3:31

  • @curtb123

    Rofl!

  • carls rite, xmas = hassle, rip off and bollox! Only good thing is food! And not even every 1 has that.

  • Ricky's hit the nail on the head; Gin & Tonic at 10am.. THAT is what Xmas is all about. Love it.

  • I love it when Karl says something funny and Ricky just looks at the camera

  • Karl saying "baby jesus" is the cutest thing ever

  • Spoiler: Karl Pilkington is a character

  • @jkejke fail

  • @rainbowplastic This guy is not a 100% act but he's close, he's a media professional who used to produce radio shows. Well whatever you want to think of him Pilkington is definitely not an idiot. I think Ricky and Steves shows are brilliant don't get me wrong here.

  • @jkejke. Ricky Gervais is no liar. He wouldn't put his name on any project where he'd had trick an audience to make it successful. He's proved this integrity time after time, or certainly hasn't given us any reason not to believe him. Karl is as real as his head is round. Get over it.

  • Karls head = epic globe of Karls world =DDDD

KARL DOESN'T LIKE CHRITMAS!! DXXXX >:(

  • Karls head = epic globe of Karls world =DDDD

  • She was knocking about with 3 men then hahaha

  • ....head like a fucking orange

  • The words "humble" and "atheist" should never be used in the same sentence. Anyway, of course you'd believe in Panspermia, a theory that says, "well, we cant show HOW life started on earth so lets just say little green men fired rockets at the earth with algae". And you say I believe in fairytales? And that theory doesnt solve how life STARTED! DNA is information - any and all information has to be CREATED...it doesnt just EVOLVE. Also why are you refusing to discuss the hoaxes?

  • They bring a smile on my face without me even realizing it! Seriously at the end of the video I just found a giant grin on my face...long live RSK XD

  • Haha the bit about the week between christmas and new year, so true!

  • Replace ghey with child and nothing changes. The fact your clinging to what was obviously an ironic quip aimed at getting sand in your vagina as your only basis for rebuttal speaks volumes on how moronic all your advances have been. Heres another, ive heard you make accusations of immaturity and child like behaviour in ALL your posts, am i to deduce by your logic that these freudian slips show an innate sense of pedophiliac tendencies. Your STILL ghey for tiarnan.

  • YAWN

  • MattHunX is ghey for tiarn76

  • @Mooktopia

And someone is quite immature to leave comments of this sort. Grow up, child, then maybe you can say something intelligent.

  • @MattHunX why dont you copy word for word another one of christopher hitchens transcripts and claim them as your own...and your still ghey for tiarnan76

  • @Mooktopia

I have not copied any of his speeches, not word for word, a few expression are his, as English isn't my first language I learned a lot of good expression from his debates.

    And you're still quite childish.

I'd wager you have a problem with homosexuals, not that I'm one, and even if I were there would be no problem with that, or do you disagree?

  • @MattHunX actually the vast majority of your comments are word for word plagiarism's of his work. Your just another psuedo-intellectuall boffin who's watched a few hitchens videos and thinks he can pass on his work as your own. You have clearly embarrassed yourself and that homosexual "wager" is clearly unsubstantiated making you sound even more moronic. You are still ghey for tiarnan...FACT

  • @Mooktopia

Care to debate a little, child, if you are so convinced I'm just a pseudo-intellectual. Admittedly, I'm far less well-read then Hitchens, Harris, Dennet, Dawkins, Shermer...etc. I have learned a lot from their debates and books.

And how many times are you going to demonstrate your level of intellect with your use of the word "ghey"? Leaving comments like that, one after the other, is a clear sign of an immature mind.

And you have failed to answer a simple question.

    Run along.

  • @MattHunX And if youre such a staunch atheist maybe you'd like to explain how life started? Was it lightning? Was it bacteria floating through space? Did it come from some mad bubbling soup? Or perhaps it was from volcanoes...so please tell me - Im all ears Mr Science! I doubt you'll give an answer because you havent tackled any arguments Ive put to you yet - you just put your hands over your ears and scream LALALALALA.... Typical atheist, you talk fuckin nonsense and have absolutely NO FACTS

  • @tiarnan76 Saying "I/we don't know" something is alright. We've learned to be humble about things we don't fully understand, unlike the religious who simply rely on their magic man and that's all the answer they need.

There are many hypothesis for how life could have started, on this planet, e.g.: panspermia seems to be a possibility, or at least have helped it along, according to latest findings and analysis of meteors. You'd know all about it, if you'd read anything other than your fairytales

  • @MattHunX So evolution has ABSOLUTELY no proof, and because of this it must be considered a religion. You say you hate rligion, yet its the Jesuit priest Teilhard de Chardin who did more to promote this nonsensical theory than any other man in history - this is NOT a conspiracy you can get tonnes of evidence for this and is admitted in mainstream journals. However you say that the whole Jesus story is a myth...so lets look at the evidence for this - there are 42 contemporary historians who...

  • @tiarnan76

Read a book on evolution, better yet, just type in EVOLUTION in Wikipedia, and maybe you'll be more equipped to argue against the abundance of evidence for it.

It was even proven in a recent research that ended now, after 20yers, lead by Richard Lenski. Another experiment with lizards in the Carribean proved evolution can take place in as little time as a decade.

Seriously, you have no knowledge of anything regarding evolution. Transitional fossils, alone, are enough proof.

  • Ive read many books on evolution - and I'll quote Dr Patterson who works at the British Museum of Natural History - "I will lay it on the line—there is not one such fossil for which one could make a watertight argument... It is easy enough to make up stories of how one form gave rise to another, and to find reasons why the stages should be favoured by natural selection. But such stories are not part of science, for there is no way of putting them to the test."

  • Regarding the Lizards, that sounds like Micro Evolution - which is really just adaptation - its like saying if I get a tan on holiday Im evolviing, which is utter nonsense, its just adaptation and is to do with the coding in our DNA - genotype & phenotype... And you STILL havent discussed the hoaxes yet - you seem to be avoiding this - if evolution was such a concrete fact why would there be all these hoaxes of missing links? Because evolution is just one big hoax and youve fallen for it!

  • @tiarnan76 You said it right there. It's a hoax. H-O-A-X. Look at some transitional fossils in museums on public display. I bet there are some articles with photos, on the web as well, for easier access.

  • @MattHunX You know youre 1956 revolution was against the Khazar Jews/Communist party - you should study how much the Communists like Lenin, Stalin, Bela Kun etc revered Charles Darwin and his theory of evolution - a theory without any evidence at all but regardless it was a theory that made out man was just an animal without a soul - and without God to make mans laws, THEY made mans laws which led to the deaths of hundreds of millions. Youve been deceived - you need to wake up soon...

  • @MattHunX wrote about Jesus - such as, Tacitus, Tranquillus, Thallus, Pliny the Younger, Celsus, Lucian, Mara Bar Serapion, Flavius Josephus, Ignatius of Antioch etc...There is far more evidence for the existence of Jesus than (for example) Julius Caesar - So are you going to tell me Julius Caesar didn't exist? So I'll ask again how did life START - Panspermia (at best!) tells how it was exported not CREATED!

  • @tiarnan76 Scientists always say that it's not yet (fully) understood. They're the first to admit it. The religious are satisfied with a millenia old, self-contradicting book. They only need faith.

I never denied jesus existed. He likely did. It's the alleged miracles that historians and skeptics take issue with. More staunch atheists deny jesus' existence, some too biased to even grant the religious the existence of their messiah. Any intellectually honest person grants them that much.

  • What do fossils prove?!! That something died - thats it. Even Darwin said this himself and nothing has changed since. All of these links between man and ape have been PROVEN to be absolute hoaxes (thats why I said look up Teilhard de Chardin who was behind many of them on behalf of the Catholic Church). Also Darwin was critically important in the development of modern communism. Many of the central architects of communism, including Stalin, Lenin, Marx and Engels, were all staunch Darwinists.

  • A priest actually said "God created Ricky Gervais to test your faith".

  • i like easter.....no you dont you like eggs you fat little......haha karls amazing what a character go for a pint with him any day!!!!

  • 'tiny tim go and get a chicken" hahaha, karl is a maniac

  • Gervais is right, present day "Christmas" is all about drinking - because its based on the ancient RItes of Saturnalia which was a Pagan Roman festival where the streets would be full of drunken revellers for a the week of Winter Solstice-Jesus Christ acording to Biblical scholars was born in March//April but his birth was hijacked by the Pagan Catholic Church who do their utmost to destroys people belief in the true God - & Gervais is no better with his constant atheistic rhetoric

  • @tiarnan76

What do you mean he's no better?

Gervais knows it's not a christian holiday, and that it has nothing to do with jesus. He knows it was originally pagan, about the Winter Solstice and has been simply hijacked by christians. He knows jesus wasn't born in the Winter.

He's not uninformed. Unlike the millions of mouth-breathers who by into the jesus story.

  • @MattHunX Hijacked by the Christians??! lets look at your logic here - The Christians who at the time refused to renounce their belief in Christ and were thrown to the lions as a result - celebrated his birth in Spring with fasting and prayer then decided to CHANGE that date to the PAGAN SATURNALIAN festival of December 25th where orgies and general mayhem wreaked havoc on the streets - thats how they decided to celebrate the birth of their Lord?? Is that seriously what youre saying?

  • @tiarnan76 both of you shut up

  • @tiarnan76

Why aren't people as you say, have orgies and general mayhem, wreaking havoc on the streets, then? The christians at the time, took the jesus story, fitted it on 25th December, and decided to call it "CHRIST"mas, because they wanted to celebrate the birth of their lord. Easter is supposed to be about the resurrection of jesus and all that. Yet, Easter was a pagan holiday, too, originally. The name comes from "Eostra" and was the celebration of the Spring Equinox.

  • @MattHunX Ahhh ok that makes loads of sense - so why dont you move your birthday to Dec 25th too so you can celebrate your birthday then - because Im assuming thats the only day you can celelbrate a birthday.... Why would Christians move the date to Dec 25th - when they knew full well that wasnt the date??

  • @tiarnan76 Quite simple really.

Religions, as evidence of their continued existence and worldwide spread, do evolve. They BORROW from other religions, incorporate concepts that seem fitting to their dogma.

You say they "knew full well that wasn't the date".

Tell me, then, why do millions today accept and believe that it IS the date? Because the stories changed as such. They had 2000 years. And that's a lot of time for some misconceptions, credulity and different tales to work their magic.

  • So how did switching Jesus' birth to December 25th enhance the "dogma" of the teachings of Jesus Christ?

The reason Christians accept it is because theyre not Biblical Christians - they trust the pagan Catholic Church. Jesus despised religion & admonished only 2 sets of people - the Clergy & the Bankers -he wanted people to be free spiritually and told them not to concern themselves with the flesh - The RItes of Saturnalia are purely of the flesh-So how does this enhance Christian Dogma??

  • @MattHunX Where in the Bible does it state Dec 25th was the date of Jesus' Birthday?

  • @tiarnan76 Nowhere.

Why do millions today believe that Christmas is about the birth of jesus in a stable with the three wise men...etc., when, according to the bible, and biblical scholars, that date is demonstrably incorrect?

Because christianity changed as such. It borrowed teachings (Golden Rule) and myths (virgin birth, resurrection) from previous sources, and religion became tradition, and was passed on as such through the generations. And questioning them was to question god = hell.

  • @MattHunX Wrong. The more the Catholic Church tried to wipe out Christianity (they are the complete opposites of each other) the more Christians would rise - until Constantine decided to "merge" the two - this is why they banned the layman reading the Bible - which was punishable by death - because they knew if people read it they would see what an evil institution the Catholic Church was-and after 1000 years of dark ages the Protestant Revolt happened against the tyranny of the Catholic Church

  • @MattHunX The Catholic Church want to dominate mans life in every way possible and they are the true controllers behind all world governments, the European Union and all the bastard pseudo Christian chuches like the Mormons, Scientology etc... I cant sit and chat on youtube all day but Id suggest looking up a very good documentary called "a lamp in the dark" - The Catholic Church wants to destroy your faith in God - and so does Ricky Gervais - they are one and the same to me - deceivers

  • @tiarnan76

Yes, the capital "c" church does have far more influence on people and nations than it should after all this time. After all that has been discovered, by sciences, and the religious claims and beliefs about the nature of reality systematically were proven false. Yet, the majority of the planet's population remain, in cases, willful intellectual slaves to superstition and dogma, and to blissful ignorance.

In case you haven't noticed I'm an atheists and an anti-theist.

  • @MattHunX Well perhaps you should study Teilhard de Cardin and Evolution and realise the Catholic Church are behind that lie too - when you start connecting a few dots you'll realise you've been duped by the very institution you profess to hate...

  • @tiarnan76 Oh, I'm sensing a "conspiracy theory" here.

Anyway, would you be so kind as to "ignore" my friend request, then.

    Take care.

  • man course Ill do friends -but seriously just google it - dont mind the term conspiracy theory - the reason why so many people are anti - theist is due to the Catholic Church - Im sure theres alot of threads we agree on - especially as I used to be an atheist or agnostic anyway....but the problem I always had is - why? why all of this, whats the point of life? and unfortunately atheism cant answer any of that...its not why I believe in God but do you really think the Universe came from nothing?

  • @tiarnan76

That's simple as well. The universe, as well as our existence is inherently without purpose. But, BECAUSE we have evolved to a point where we CAN ponder our own existence and meaning, we are able to make our own purpose in life, and we no longer see the need to have any divine permission or cause for it.

People who think there is no purpose to their lives without a god or religion, and who think an atheist position is therefore false, are simply infantile.

  • Religion, and the god hypothesis is simply our race's first and WORST attempt at trying to answer questions of existence and the workings of the universe. It was born at the infancy of our race when our ancestor didn't know better, and like many today who keep the religious tradition up, were simply superstitious, un- and misinformed about the world around them.

  • @ MattHunX Platitudes aside - surely you have a better argument than saying a belief in God is infantile. Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao Tse Tung were all atheists so did that make them mature and sensible? There is absolutely no proof whatsoever to evolution the whole hypothesis is ludicrous - and anyone who believes that life started from the "magic" of lightning or a mix of some crazy soup probably still believes in the tooth fairy - do you have ANY idea how complex the single cell is?

  • @tiarnan76

    No proof? One word: FOSSILS

(Complexity = God) is not an argument. It's intellectual laziness.

Read e.g.: ' The Greatest Show on Earth ' by Richard Dawkins. And learn. There is an abundance of evidence for evolution. And the atheism of Stalin, Pot and Mao did not have any bearing on their actions. There is no logical pathway from a simple disbelief in a deity towards mass murder. And just FYI, they all created their own persona cults. e.g.: Kim Jong Il in today's North Korea.

  • @MattHunX You havent explained about the complexity of the cell and how something so complex (as complex as a small city) would just "evolve" out of nothing. Also - if the was a "big bang" how do you explain the fact that some planets spin clockwise and some anti clockwise? why isnt alll the matter in the universe evenly spread? And there is a very DEFINITE link towards a belief in Atheism and mass murder - because if God doesnt make mans laws MAN will make mans laws.

  • @tiarnan76

Oh, so you do notice that the universe isn't very well made. Shouldn't it be? If it was the work of an omniscient and omnipotent being? And what you need to understand is time. The time it took for things to evolve.

Cities are human constructs, just like gods. God didn't make men, men (males) created many gods, and it shows, ascribed suspiciously human attributes to them (anger, jealousy, hatred, love...etc.), you'd think a higher being would be above such petty human emotions.

  • Don't bother to respond to me anymore. I find your ignorance to be beyond something I, or anyone, could reason with, and will not even dignify your drivel. Be happy with your conspiracy theories, child, and don't try spreading it around in public. Humans already made up a lot of mind-numbing nonsense, we don't need more.

  • @MattHunX Athiesm is as dumb as believing in god. The only logical approach is agnosticism. Nobody knows why we are here, what we are supposed to do, If we are god's children, if we are alone in this gigantic universe etc. Maybe we are just energy and part of some energy matrix, and since energy isn't created or destroyed it follows that some part of us is immortal. Maybe that energy is God. We could be an alien experiment gone wrong, or on punishment 'cause we pissed off the govt on some other

  • ...planet, and part of that punishment is amnesia. Maybe Jesus was all that he's said to be and we are all going to transcend this reality and live forever in bliss and we had nothing to fear all along. Or maybe our bodies rot in the ground and we cease to exist after death, almost like we never existed at all. Maybe near death experiences being so similar is a sign that God is with us and the white light is heaven. Maybe it's our brain coping with it's own death via neurochemical displacement.

  • You get the idea. I'm just saying no one knows for sure, and it's so arrogant to assume that we do. Curiosity, awe, wonder. That's an appropriate response to the perennial questions. When we are young we know that inherently. We just lose it somewhere along the way

  • @MattHunX Where did I say the universe wasnt well made? I said if there was a "big bang" you find all matter evenly distributed throughout the universe. Atheists tlike to say they are enlightened and only use reason. The REALITY couldn't be farther from the truth. For example the Law of Conservation of Angular Momentum would dictate that from a big bang ALL planets would be spinning in the same direction. Theyre not - so how do you explain that!? How do you explain all the fossil hoaxes?

  • @tiarnan76

    Fossil hoaxes!? LOL

    Oh, please, no more!

I cannot bear this level of scientific illiteracy and just plain stupidity any longer.

Read a book or two, child. Go to a proper high school biology class.

  • @MattHunX So youre saying there's never been any hoaxes? Embarrassing.... I told you to look up Teilhard de Cardin a Jesuit priest who was behind many hoaxes including the Piltdown Man. Lucy was a hoax, the Java Ape Man was a hoax - just do a small bit of research into any of these - theyre not conspiracies theyre now fully documented and ADMITTED by evolutionists to be actual hoaxes. The only real evidence for evolution is your primitive cave man arguments.

  • @MattHunX Even Darwin wrote that every species was so perfect in its own right - where are all the gradients between species today? Wheres the abundance of fossil evidence? Theres not one bit of evidence for evolution. And because it involves absurd beliefs and absolute blind faith is no better than all the other religions such as Mormonism, Scientology etc... If you started looking for facts you'd soon realise there was indeed a God and youre life actually had a purpose..I'll leave it at that

  • @MattHunX @tiarnan76 Why do so many idiots argue on youtube. Who gives a shit, just watch the fucking video lol!!

  • @lucidl

When you understand what religion, and religious beliefs lead to in the world, you can have an opinion on both our person, until then, watch your mouth!

    I already watched the video 5x .

  • @MattHunX yawn, I do have an opinion, just not in the comments section of a video, get out more

  • @lucidl His stupidity had to be dealt with.

  • @MattHunX lol ok

  • Even Karl,

    KARL,

KARL freakin' Pilkington figures religion is useless non-sense.

Why can't the majority of the world be, at least, as smart as Karl? Cause, apparently, they aren't. Which is really baffling.

  • i love this so much

  • thanks for uploading ricky gervais is great

  • Hassle - I give them that.
