  • With all due respect I think you have a few things wrong. The hammer on part is like an open A chord played on the 14th fret while the hammer on is the second finger on the 15 fret of the B string and the third finger hammering on the 16th fret of the D string. The section with harmonics emulates a common church/door bell sound as in BGADDABG. The low G note bend ends with a full open A chord on the 2nd fret. The scream part is the 15th fret on the B string and the 15th fret on the high E.

  • I didnt think this post was going to be good at all, but it as you watch it you end up hooked. When you put the lick together at the end I looved it. Nice one. I hope you do "up the neck " the way Jimmy Scott played it too, hint hint!

  • Great stuff. Thanks for sharing. I always wondered how JHS was able to do it.

  • That was an Awesome video.

  • I think the jump off for the lead is F E A it makes it sound nasty .

    Grim

  • Hey good job bro. I love this song and was having a time getting the solo, thanks!

    Grimace and the Fakers

  • Thanks for watching! I'm not so sure as to doing a full cover - I would need to really find a talented bass player and drummer to cover that odd time signature, and still retain the "feel". If I ever do, I'll post and msg. ya! Cheers!

  • Are you going to make a full cover of this. I'd love to see it, seeing as no one else has a cover here on youtube :(
